NOTE: Fan Armour below done with permission from LFL for "Episode III Publicity"

Image

From the source:

"the suit is fanmade, however the whole photoshoot was done with permission from LFL as publicity for Ep3"

"well, considering LFL gave Daniel permission to do this photoshoot as publicity, it would seem so"

"they used a fansuit because the archives suit was unavailable (probably didn't fit daniel)"

well GL said from the outset that Boba would be in EPIII and it hasn't been officially debunked yet. Notice how Pabs usually avoids any questions about Boba...

Whoa, ok I have a question. For anyone with Windows Xp, why is that when I view the thumbnail of the first Boba pic up top there it doesn't have a window behind him, it's solid wall. Yet when I refresh the thumbnail the window and Coruscant behind him appears. It also appears when I open the image to view. Any guesses?

Yeah it's bloody bizarre.

Anyway here's a low grade comp.

Image

Even though it's supposedly fan-made, at least they're being consistant timeline-wise in that they used Boba's ESB costume for Daniel's pic.

Did you guys see the new 12" that'll be out this fall for the OT DVD release?

What's up with that blue suit though? You think that hints towards something pertaining to Ep3? Could be just for prototype purposes though.

^ So, Queer eye for the Fett guy, I take it?

I'm actually looking forward to seeing Boba in Episode III now after seeing those pics; I was affraid that DL really wouldn't be that menacing as Boba seeing as he was pretty young in AOTC, but I gotta admit, he looks pretty badass in full Fett regalia.

I'm fully willing to believe that Lucas changed his mind and wrote a cameo for Fett. But I have serious doubts that those photos are in any way "official."

The photos aren't official but Logan was allowed to wear the Fett suit and take the photos for "Episode III publicity purposes".

The guy who passed this stuff along was pretty adamant that they be posted and is a member of the forums.

Interesting stuff, either way.

Heh Heh...you said 12inch.....

mwahah...ha....ohhh, nevermind.

Carry on.

As for the photo's - I doubt "Boba" would be wearing the same suit as he did in the OT, mostly because he's a growing lad - so he'd be wearing a different 'costume' to what he wore in the OT for that reason alone.

Actually McCallum and I think Lucas were pretty admandant about Boba's return in Ep3 around the time of Ep2. I definitely recall Rick's quote about how Anakin and Boba were shaped by the growing conflicts and struggles that would change the galaxy. I believe it was Lucas who said that Boba would be in Ep3, but his role would definitely not be bigger than his turn in Ep2. Or that might have been Rick, can't recall. At any rate, Boba Fett in Ep3 is not a new thing. The new thing would be if he wasn't in Ep3 since the higher ups were so sure about him being in the flick.

Logan does look cool in the outfit. If Lucas does insert him into Episode III, what scene would he put him in? Would he only be a background character?

I think it would very cool if Boba were linked to Palpatine somehow. Maybe Boba could be in the background of a scene involving Palpatine. That way at least the audience might get the impresson that Palpatine was cloning young Boba to create further generations of stormtroopers. Then once you get to the OT you realize most of the clones were created from Boba and he's standing right next to his own clones in the ESB scenes on Cloud City.

A perfect parallel to the arena scenes in AOTC when Jango was there with Boba and the clones attacked.

But of course Jango was dead by that point and he couldn't see his own clones reak havoc.

Both Lucas & Carl Cunningham have said Boba is in the movie. I think there's really no question.

Whether he wears the suit is up in the air still I would say, Lucas said he wouldn't wear it but who knows. He's sure big enough to wear it ... maybe they'll explain it with growth hormones or something.

Here's Lucas' exact quote on the subject from Starlog magazine:

Quote:
“Boba WILL be in Episode III, but his role definitely won’t be larger. He’s in a transition period of becoming a bounty hunter. The next film takes place two or three years later, so Boba would only be 13 and still wouldn’t fit in the suit."

The outline so far for Ep3 seems pretty packed, I'm still not sure where Boba could be fit into Ep3. Personally I think the last image we see of him in AOTC is great and is enough to foreshadow the character we see in the OT.

This is a nice surprise.

I know Lucas has said from the beginning that Boba would be in Episode III, yet I almost forgot about him with all the other events taking place in the film.

No clue what he'd be doing in the film.

Hyperspace hasn't even hinted at his return.

I'm a Fett fan, so If he's in, you won't hear a peep out of me.

Ive allways thought that it was Vader and Mr Fett whom wiped out the Jedi. Maybe he's just in the murderous montage at the end or somthing, at least then Boba would tie in better with the OT and No disintigration, Maybe he "kills" yoda hence the line. No proof weather yodas alive or dead :heavymetal:

I have always thought that one cool way you could tie Boba to Episode III, would be like this;

Anakin slaughters all the Sepratist leaders, and when he's finished, he finds young Boba crouching in a corner, whimpering. Initially Anakin goes for his lightsaber. Then he stops and asks Boba who he is and what he's doing here. We have a short conversation, and through that Anakin learns that Boba lost his father, Anakin starts to see flash's of himself in the boy and lets him go, if he promise's to never return to Mustafar and to never speak of the what he seen.

With Anakin's back to him, Boba Fett runs out of the door, Anakin doesn't look back.....

Yes and these photos were done with permission by LFL for "Episode 3 pulicity purposes". When Fox and Brit come online, I'm sure they can expand upon what is going on here as they talk to Logan on a semi-frequent basis.

When it comes to grown men dressing up as Fett, you can't beat Fox and Britt :D

Nice, I like it except for the "Boba crouching in a corner, whimpering."

If I were to film that exact scene, I'd have Boba step out of a door at the end with a gun aimed after Anakin cleans the room. Like that scene in Pulp Fiction when Butch picks up the uzi and Vincent steps out of the bathroom. Anakin and Boba look at each other for a moment sizing each other up, then Boba tells Anakin how he saw him on Geonosis during the first battle of the Clone Wars. Where his father Jango died at the hands of another Jedi.

Anakin tells Boba he's no longer a Jedi and that he killed the man who beheaded his father. He turns and leaves.

With that scene it would create a bond between Anakin and Boba.

Well, the only reason I said about him whimpering, is because he is still only 15, I think. He's pretty young, to have just seen a mass slaughter, and know he will probably be next.

But your version works just as well

Essentially what this is all about, is tying Vader and Boba together, if only in a small way. It doesn't really matter exactly how it happens!

BTW Kit_Fist0, when is Comic_Con? ;)

It is absolutely not photoshopped. The suit was put together by a couple of fans (as sheep pointed out from TDH). Daniel got permission from LFL to appear in it. Whether this is directly related to Ep3 or not, I don't know. However, LFL is very strict about their actors appearing in suits off-screen.

Thanks for the info foxbatkllr, I hope that IF he appears in ep3, it's only a cameo. He is too young to do anything big. IMO

Which ComicCon is in July? Detroit, San Diego or Chicago?

It seems I remember going to the one in Chicago in July in 2001.

Logan seems to fit in the suit - r this version of the suit - very nicely.

He also seems too tied in with the Separatists to *not* be in Ep. 3. I can envision him perhaps helping Anakin dispose of Nute and friends on Mustafar.

He can see which way the wind is blowing, so he "allows" Anakin to arrive to Mustafar unmolested to do his work. Thus forms the partnership of Vader and Boba Fett.

I completely disagree with the topic. Boba's chances of being in Episode 3 are very very weak.

If he is there, its a total throw-away cameo a-la Boba's appearance in ANH.

Nothing more.

Foxbat, you must own this for your suit:

1. I will be at the Comic-Con in July and probably hanging around Daniel again. (I will also be premiering a new costume ;) ) I will also be bringing certain equipiment with me...
2. No I don't have that flamethrower for my costume. I don't believe it works and if it did, it would melt your gauntlets and/or cause yourself to catch on fire.
3. I can not say the photos of Daniel in the suit are directly related to Episode 3, however as a person who originally thought there would be no Boba in Ep3 I have now changed my mind to accept the good possibility he will have a cameo.

ok, no one here obviously knows if Boba is in or out for EPIII - it's a grey area.

At the moment I reckon he's in because that's come from official sources and nothing has come out to contradict it.

Thing is when Logan appears at any conventions the NUMBER ONE question almost everyone is likely to ask him is if he's going to be in Ep3.

I hope he has a good answer other than 'no comment'.

I hope so too, but "no comment" essentialy means yes, because if he wasn't in it, they wouldn't be able to make him say he's not in it- They can only make him keep his mouth shut if he is in it.

It's in Logan's interest to hedge. Makes it easier for them to include him. From the sound of things, Logan needed LFL permission to do a Fett shoot. He asked and got it. To me that doesn't sound at all like LFL confirmation that he's actually in the movie. But SI is right, we don't have enough information to make a real judgement. I'll drop it.

Personally, I just don't see Daniel Logan looking right taking people out. I don't think he can pull it off at his current stage of development. But if he's just in it for an appearance, yeah, sure it would work.

They're going to have to squeeze him in, though; there's already a whole lot that has to be in the film without including the backstory of what happens to Boba.
