Preorder goes from Thursday the 15th at 6 pm (PST) until Monday the 19th. This is the first Sideshow preview I have seen that I have nothing negative to say about it. :)

Here are the Probe Droids:

Umm it says on the picture at the bottom right hand corner that Bertok posted, his lightsaber does NOT light up

I am afraid Raveers is correct. The light saber does not actually ignite. Would be cool if it did, but it don't.

suthrnthug click on the picture that Bartok provided, zoom in and it says down in the lower right hand corner "Lightsaber does not illuminate".

For all the Star Wars figures Sideshow has made that have lightsabers not one "illuminates" and it is virtually impossible to illuminate a toy of that size.

If my Lego Darth Vader's lightsaber can illuminate, a $55 Sideshow 12" figure's sure as hell could.

Hmm, I didn't realize that the lego sabers did light up. Well thank you ETandElliot for proving me wrong that a small toy like that can light up. Not trying to sound like a dick or anything just saying thanks for proving me wrong. It's a genuine thank you. :)

However as it's states in the advertizement picture both that Bartok posted and even on Sideshow's site (the same picture) it says that the saber does not illuminate, suthrnthug obviously missed that part.

I opened up the Darth Maul gallery shots in Firefox and the window requires you to scroll down just slightly to see the "Lightsaber Does Not Illuminate" message (so that I almost missed it). I don't know why. If you ask me these things could use the feature. My Jedi Luke holding a plastic rod looks kind of dumb.

There are some customizers who have actually been able to make some pretty convincing "ignitable" lightsabers. It is possible. Image
They're almost as cool as alittle photoshopping (which is what Sideshow did to those pics Suthrnthug).

That's how they should be. The Sideshow figures are mega-displayable. You can't not display them, and I never display Star Wars stuff. I can't find the right lightning to convince me that Luke posed holding his lightsaber isn't completely bogus compared to Luke posed in his robe.

The fact that they nailed all the imperfections in his makeup is impressive indeed. This puppy's almost sold out. I'm glad I ordered mine when I did. :heavymetal:

I received my warehouse email from Sideshow. There's a chance this might arrive by X-mas! :chewbacca:

Yup, I got mine too. Maul is really starting to look like the first grandslam for this line. I didn't want to get my hopes up, but it really is looking like this will come before X-mas. :heavymetal:
