Here's a look inside the book, which combines all four Star Wars Visual Dictionaries into one volume, and expands the original works with new material.

Revenge of the Sith is explored in even more detail, with in-depth looks at Utapau, Mustafar, the Clone Wars and Order 66.

The original Star Wars trilogy is also expanded, with overviews of the Rebel Alliance, Imperial personnel, and more. New artwork and props have been built specifically for this project, including a cutaway view of the enormous Sarlacc creature sculpted by Robert E. Barnes, and an exploded view of R2-D2's insides by model maker Don Bies

Our friends from CollectingHQ.com chimed in mentioning one of MF's members, mverta:

Two of the coolest new additions are a two-page cutaway cross-section of the Sarlacc from Return of the Jedi, and all new "look inside" the R2-D2 original model by Don Bies (one of the ILM model makers who actually operates R2) which is being rendered for DK by Mike Verta.

MF's ProbeDroid leaked the Visiual Dictionary and Dressing The Galaxy so we maybe able to look to him for preview. We could also each chip in and donate money to SnakePlisken for him to scan it.

I remember looking forward to the Complete Locations book, thinking it would have loads of info on the Order 66 planets and all the stuff in those scenes. Turns out they had them crammed into two pages alongside the battle of Kashyyyk and basically said "So-and-so died here-and-here". What a rip-off.

Do tell if this book is going to be the same shit all over again, regardless of the "promotional blurb". Fool me once... :whatevaho:

Books like thes just make me mad about "what could've been" with the prequels.

I can't say I'm crazy about the idea either. Each OT movie deserves its own Visual Dictionary.

If Lucas wanted, they could do a fourth prequel Visual Dictionary to add all this new stuff along with some unused TPM and AOTC stuff. If he did a VisD for each OT film, then this fourth prequel VisD would complement the shoddy OT one giving us eight volumes in all.

Saw this in a store over the weekend. Looks great. Didn't buy it though. I wanted to run past security with the Complete Locations book as well.
