I don't know any of his vitals. I know he's been around for quite some time. I can remember a couple of years ago chatting with him on AIM and asking him for my user notes and he would IM them to me in a matter of seconds.

Deac, chances are he knows what he is doing but I wouldn't sweat it too terribly much. As long as you have all the latest updates installed etc you'll be kosher. I'm 99.99% certain he had access to a JC admin account back in the day, which allowed him access to user notes.
