A heads up If you haven't already seen it, the fan documentary - 'Returning to Jedi' goes behind the scenes of 'RETURN OF THE JEDI'

It is now available to watch on YOUTUBE - showing in multiple 6:30 minute parts.

It's well worth a look and contains superb behind the scenes footage, notes, trvia, storyboards, cut scenes, etc.

Jambe Davdar has done a superb job, and anyone who watches it is in for a treat...

In an anniversary year, such documentaries are a treat!!

It's sad that LucasFilm couldn't have put together something like this for one of their DVD releases

I checked it out a few days ago. Pretty cool stuff. I was surprised how much of the BTS footage I had never seen before. I think he's also started uploading "Building Empire" but I haven't watched any of it yet.

I just finished watching all 22 segments this morning. I couldn't find the 23rd part. Segment 22 ends kind of abruptly during George's speech about life goals etc. Am I just missing it or was 23 never uploaded?

On originaltrilogy he says it's 23 parts, so I guess he hasn't uploaded it. He's also uploading Building Empire.

A Newer Hope?

I've really enjoyed RTJ.
The amount of work that's gone into it is amazing and I was surprised to find out bits and pieces of information that I never knew about the making of the films.
I've been watching BE as well on youtube and am anxiously waiting for part 20 onwards!

building empire blog

Note: It is available to d'load as a full length dvd which is a much better option than watching in multiple youtube episodes IMHO.

Both 'returning to jedi' and 'building empire' are well worth the watch.
