I've been wondering what the casting would have been like if Martin Scorsese would have directed a Star Wars film. Here's what I think it would look like...

Luke Skywalker - Michael Imperiolo - (Sopranos- Law and Order)

Han Solo - Ray Liotta - (Goodfellas Mr Smith)

Princess Lea- Alyssa Milano - (who cares)

Yoda - Joe Pesci - (Home Alone 1 and 2)

C3PO - Steve Van Vandt - (guitarist for E Street Band)

Darth Vader - Robert Deniro - (Raging Bull)

Chewbacca - James Gandolfini - (Sopranos)

Lando Calrissian - Steve Buscemi - (Armageddon - Sopranos)

R2D2 - That little prick gets whacked off screen because he’s a rat on wheels and who the f*** needs that.

Obi-Wan Kenobi - Paul Sorvino - (Law & Order)

Boba Fett - Joe Pantaliano - (The Matrix - Sopranos)

Emperor Palpatine - Dominic Chianese - (Sopranos)

I meant it to be funny. Guess I need to take a comedy workshop or something.

Well, I know he'd put a lot more heart into it.

I have no doubt of that.

Yeah, I guess you're right. I mean, it's not like Lucas almost had a nervous breakdown during ANH or invested his entire financial future in ESB or anything. What a fraud!

Plenty of people have poured thier hearts and souls into complete crap. Lucas stressing over his films doesn't mean that passion carries over on-screen to everyone. Don't get me wrong, I like them the way they are, but I'm kind of an emotionally detached megolomaniac.

ps- Best mob movie ever was directed by Sergio Leone btw. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Once_Upon_ ... In_America

I always thought Scorsese was overated. But I have won zero oscars so he's obviously still better than me.
