Now that this thread is no longer locked (I don't know why it was in the first place) can anybody answer my question? I'm not asking anyone to post anything from the DVD-ROM site. I just want to know if I should even bother taking my DVD to someone elses house to view the site right now. I'm only curious to know what (if anything) is there now. |

Right now there is a text commentary for A New Hope. It has Lucas's shooting script which plays against the film. The shooting script differs greatly from the finished film. The only thing changed is that the original shooting script is out of order so it fits the order of the film. It's very interesting. But it requires you to read a little bit at a time, very fast. The film is also pretty long so it's hard to read little snippets that fast for some two hours. I had to do a little at a time. All in all, it's great. It says the Text Commentaries for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi are coming in the next a few weeks. All in all, I suggest checking it out if you are a big fan. If you are an occasional fan of the saga who might not even watch all of the extras disc, it's probably not for you. If you read Lucas's first drafts of THE STAR WARS, and get a kick out of alternate dialog, you should enjoy this a lot I hope that helps you out. |

They're also going to be adding "depth commentaries" for all three films. This is where you watch the movie as text pops up every few seconds with an obscene amount of trivia. They had them for the prequels too, but they seem to have been taken offline...which sucks because I never got around to watching TPM's ![]() |
