Thanks Earwax! This is wonderful. Definitely something I would try to add to a special cut of ANH - along with Han shooting first, of course! My only gripe is that the fighting style is wrong. I am not an expert on saber styles, but I can tell that the moves and attacks are all wrong for these characters. Slower, I understand. Cyborg vs. Old Man. But Yoda wasn't slow. And he is older than both put together! Anyways. Nice stuff! |

Most impressive! I don't think it cuts in well with the other movie footage but on its own it is pretty awesome. Bravo! |

I don't know. One of the qualities I've always admired about Star Wars, particularly in the hands of GL, was its classical restraint compared to most contemporary cinema; a more considered sense of formalism, economy and elegance. Not just speed-ramping, a supreme focus on violence and a general deference to what is "badass." It's what I most feared with the property changing hands. I see a general dispensing of the former already, even in the mainline saga films. |
