AMAZON PRE-ORDER

SAGA BLU-RAY SIXOLOGY • ALL SIX FILMS 9-DISC SET • $89.99
ORIGINAL BU-RAY TRILOGY • EPISODE IV-VI 3-DISC SET • $39.99
PREQUEL BLU-RAY TRILOGY • EPISODE I-III 3-DISC SET • $39.99

After all is said and done, how have these changes affected your purchase decisions? Honest answers please. After the dust has settled and you realise how important these movies are to you. You remember them being a part of your lives. You remember playing with their toys and watching them every weekend. You remember spending hours scouring the net trying to find every bit of information, every blurry picture you could of that mythical sandstorm scene.

I think I was probably one of the first to say I wouldn't buy after seeing those leaks. But who the fuck am I kidding? I'm gonna be there as soon as they're released. I love these movies too damn much. And if that makes me an enabler or a bad fan, then so be it. But I don't think I should have to apologise for loving these movies.

Will not be buying. Fans need to grow a set. If you dont like the changes stop supporting them by Buying the changes.

Stand up for the Original Cut of the movie

I'll still be buying. I really want to see the deleted scenes and extra material from the set.

I’m not sure where I fit in this poll. Presently, I don’t have a BR player. If the set was amazing, I would have stepped-up my timeframe for buying a player and the set. Based on the info I’ve heard, my socks are far from knocked off. So, I probably won’t be getting the discs anytime soon. I may wait until after I’ve seen all six films in 3D.

I will buy it, someday. I still have to buy a blu-ray player. You people tell me how it is once it comes out, ok?

Most of what I look for when I watch "Star Wars" movies is stuff that I don't really talk about with other people, but that captures my interest no less;

my wife (who routinely suffers the slings and arrows of being married to someone who is a fan of both "Star Wars" and KISS, the poor woman) won't care that Sebulba now appears in Jabba's palace any more so than she cares about the Outrider flying over Mos Eisley, or the implications of Anakin's adventures on Mortis... or Eric Singer wearing Peter Criss' old makeup.

So, changes or no changes, I'll STILL be watching to see the little details that have brought me joy and fascination for 34 years and counting. If anything, being forced (Forced?) to look more closely and study the changes allows me an excuse to focus my attention on something I already enjoy so much.

voted comedy option because george lucas knows best because he made the movies and wihout him we would have nothing so anything he does is in the right and everything else is wrong!

Buying, of course. Only because of the Krayt Dragon call. This is by far the best change ever made to a Star Wars film. The fact that this creature, never seen alive in a SW film, now sounds like a drunken frat boy mating call - it simply adds so much depth to the power of the force. I can't believe it took them 34 years to get it right!

I'm ecstatic that Mr. Lucas so wonderfully honors the memory of the great Alec Guiness by forever connecting his legacy to this most pleasing of sounds. Just top notch work. The estate of Alec Guiness is no doubt proud that once again we are given a command performance beyond the grave by this incredibly talented actor. I can't wait to play it loud and proud for all the world to hear. Dare I say it: miracle!

Am quite disconcerted by the "changes" and see them as pointless.

Have not pre-ordered anywhere and likely will not buy for some time.

I do not care for the Blu-Ray experience that much to watch something I like so much that has been altered for the sake of it.

The NOOOOO sucks and blows, the Krayt Dragon call change blows and the Dug in Jabba's palace is just mindless fluff.

The panning to Jabba's palace and the eyes of Wicket do not bother me,though would totally understand it bothering other fans.

In the end.... would prefer to buy individual movies of the saga on BD.

I literally upgraded from a 55" DLP to a 65" DLP just for this release. A few alterations aren't going to sway my vote.

Definitely still buying. I don't particularly like most of the changes (they range from superfluous to misguided to ridiculous), but it'll still be worth having the extras and the HD picture.

I'm in for the full set I can't think of anything that would put me off buying it star wars is a huge part of my life home cinema and hd is another big part of my life the 2 combined is a no brainer
Yes I would have liked it if everything was sorted with it but I live in the real world ( occasionally) I can't wait to a have a saga day in 1080p 120" screen and 6.1 it's what my cinema was built for :)

For the time being I've decided to cancel my pre-order. I need the money for this for other things right at the moment. I'll end up actually buying it at some point but for right now I don't need it.

I think I'll buy it when the price is lower. It certainly doesn't deserve the full price, at least not since that 'no noo' and the unfixed sabers.

Since LFL showed us a pic of the blue saber fixed but literally ONLY fixed that one shot maybe I should send them a pic of 89.99 in cash but request that they accept half payment in real life.

I'll eventually buy it, but not at full price. Despite the 'no noo', I like the rest of the changes. And although they did not fix all the mistakes and inconsistencies, these are still better versions than the 2004 ones (and maybe I'll make my own fan edit with it).

Incidentally ... ugh ... I was just ordering some replacement components from BB canada and stopped to see what they're selling the PT for. Honestly, I don't give a crap about the PT so any changes won't be bugging me, and I don't know them well enough anyways. Kids are really excited for a marathon, and I don't have the heart to say no.

Deleted the copies I had when I thought I was getting the box set, so I need a copy. Anyhooo ... BB canada is selling the PT box for $54.99, but the Saga box for $67.99. DAMMNIT! I really don't want to support the OT release, but the cheap bastard in me keeps saying "$13 more for the whole shooting match? CMon, c'mon!". Wrestling with this demon now, but thought any Canucks who are planning to buy might want the heads up.

Spend the extra $13.00. Thats worth it for the deleted scenes and some of the special features and don't forget, it comes with 90 minutes of star wars spoofs!

Also, its better to regret spending $13.00 and buying it now than regretting not speding the extra $13 now and needing to pay full price if wanting special features/deleted scenes discs or ot for kids or something.
