Just got home and it appears that MF has "propagated" or "resolved" to the new server. Hence our missing threads. I split off Zion's post and made it into a new thread. Deal with it.

Thanks again to "Darth_Maxwell" for the intial scans" and "PerroLoco_Kenobi" for the awesome edited versions. :)

And? I didn't post these for glorified e-praise, I posted them to share with everyone. Hell, I didn't even start this thread.

Besides, people should be thanking Darth_Maxwell for scanning these, not me, and hoping that more scans are soon to follow.

Wow, so early into the game, and these are out already!? Amazing the net is.

If you only had any idea how much energy its taking for me to NOT click on those. I just cliked on the 1st two, and I had to tear myself away. Its like a horrid itch in a sensitive spot.

Excellent espianage (typo?)

It should be Saturday soon in the UK and hopefully this Darth_Maxwell will not have some sort of hangover and will be able to get us more scans.

Apparently in the UK, comic book shops all over are selling the first issue of the comic adaptation.

I particularly like the page where we see Dooku's decapitated head. Even if it looks nothing like him. Late night/Early morning DP?

Besides the films and soundtracks the only SW things I collect are the trade paper backs of the movies. I can't wait to add this to my collection.

Thanks for the preview. :heavymetal:

I can't get over how much Obi and Anakin have grown since the last movie it seems. The comic makes it very apparent this first scene might be one of my favorites. :heavymetal:

I love how Anakin has more lines, and how Obi Wan is always asking Anakin what to do. Awesome.

I'm sure the lines in the movie will be alittle different, and they left out alot of stuff that happens in the Space Battle and on the
Invisible Hand. I'm glad they are letting some stuff be a suprise.

Heh, I like Anakin's reaction to Padme's pregnancy

"That's...wonderful"

I bet he's thinking, "Damn, I wonder if it's too late to skip town?"

I know the comic has taken quite a bit out(I was looking forward to more space action and the elevator scene), but has it left stuff in? Is the gas tank scene still in the movie?

Well hell, I'm just wondering if anybody knows. It seems like the events on the Invisible Hand have been chopped to bits. I just wonder if anybody knows whats left.

where i live i was able to see the whole comic or graphic novel
some interesting things
1 anakin is the worse double agent in the republic
2 anakin hold a lightsaber to palpatines head
3 obi-wan knows padme is pregers before he fights grievous
4 anakin does take his seat in jedi council
5 bail gets a jedi homing beacon
6 bail goes to jedi temple and escapes stupid clone troopers
7 yoda wants obi-wan to kill anakin-vader
8 anakin force chokes padme and throws her into wall
starting the duel
9 c3po caries padme back her ship
10 sidious rescues vader before he burns alive
11 qui-gon makes contact with yoda from beyond

i didn't bye the novel sence people are putting it on the net it
would be stupid to waste 15 bucks

We're talking about the comic book, not the novel. 15 bucks is probably the MSRP. It's no deal.

The comic probably won't tell us anything that we don't know. The first bare-freakin-bones issue breezed through half an hour of film in 23(or so) pages that took a minute and a half to read. I think it'll just be fun to look at.

So we're doing that old Tom Servo MST3K line: "It's not a comic! It's a graphic novel!" :)

AnonyJones:

Shame you haven't seen it; it was a great show.

The point of the joke was to establish the sort of self-loathing some fans have when it comes to the fact that they're adults and they buy "kid-things." Somehow, graphic novel sounds more adult than comic. It's not too different than saying the we don't collect dolls; we collect action figures! In the case of the former, the hangup is age, and in the case of the latter, gender roles.

Me, I'm thirty-three and I call them comics and dare anybody to laugh. :whatevaho:

Yeah, I've meant to see it.

I understand the comic thing. I don't say graphic novel, I tell people that I'm buying comics. I'm not ashamed of the word. I don't even tell people I buy toys though(I haven't since AOTC, so I guess there isn't much to say), though I tell them about all the Star Wars action figures I have from when I was younger.

To paraphrase Billy Joel:

"Ev'rybody's talkin' 'bout the new graphic novel, but they're still comic books to me!"
