A small tit-bit 'to be sure', but makes me anticipate the trailer a little more.

There are fucking TieFighters with gas tanks under each wing!

In the trailer, the Theta-Class Shuttle being escorted by the TieFighters, looks like the Imperial Shuttle from the Original Trilogy, sans top wing.

The trailer Theta-Class has the wings that are even and the rear end looks almost looking exactly like the Original Trilogy Imperial Shuttle.

The below starwars.com picture doesn't show it off that well with the bottom wings appearing uneven.

First in response to a few PM's we received.... *We* do not have the trailer. However, one of our sources does and we are working on getting parts of it out. With the sources permission and cooperation of course.

Oh baby. Thanks muchly.

I'd love to see at least an artist's rendition of those TIE fighter type ships. It's a great little surprise from George.

I keep editing my intial post to make it a little more clearer. 500+ people online makes our webhost upset :(

The starwars.com card picture has it's bottom two wings appearing to be sorta uneven. From what I can tell the Theta Class Shuttle in the trailer has the two bottom wings being the same length.

The Tie-Fighters escorting the shuttle have what appears to be "fuselages" underneath each solar panel "axle".

I think that picture's just badly drawn, and the perspective is a bit dodgy.

Yes, whoever made the picture could have chosen a better perspective. With that said, the design of the thing does look quite sexy.

I think these proto-TIEs are known as V-wing starfighters. They're mentioned in Labyrinth of Evil as part of the Republic Navy.
