TheForce.net Founder makes a return.
http://boards.theforce.net/Revenge_of_the_Sith_(Spoilers_Allowed)/b10331/16786017/

http://cgi.theforce.net/theforce/tfn.cgi?storyID=24672

A word of warning: We post this because we believe in posting everything that comes our way that seems even *slightly* possible of appearing in ROTS. Therefore, we post this, word for word how it was sent to us. Judge for yourself.

Highlight to read:

Okay. Here's how the scene was described to me. The setting... Tattooine. Yoda and Chewbacca are together when the Clonetroopers are ordered to kill the Jedi. What does Yoda do? He grabs some mud, smears it on his face, jumps on Chewbacca's back, acts all stupid like his first appearance in Empire Strikes Back, and pretends to be Chewie's pet.

To further the deception, he farts. Yes, you read that right: Yoda farts.

Let the wild speculation begin.

Note: Yoda and Chewbacca are on Tatooine when the Episode III CloneTroopers turn and Yoda has "intestinial problems".

Scott Chitwood - TheForce.net Founder appears pretty confident in that thread about Yoda's colon blow.

The source probably got Tatooine mixed up with Kashyyyk. I mean we are in a era where Lucas is putting Hayden, Naboo, and Gungans into the Original Trilogy.

I seriously hope he's talking out of his ass, and not Yoda's...That scene sounds like it would be a new low.

Maybe I'm the exception, but I dont mind a few lowbrow moments in Star Wars. It's no worse than the great and wise jedi master getting into a tug-o-war with R2D2.

Sometimes we all pretend differently, but Star Wars is for kids of all ages, and most kids do find fart jokes funny. I imagine something like this could be used to offset the overwhelming darkness of the rest of the film.

It could be funny.

Yeah, this way of thinking is fine as long as he picks his moments. I don't know about anyone else, but I still have a bad memory of C3-PO's terribly timed "comic-relief" in AOTC's arena battle.

Wow, farting idiot Yoda just as the Clones turn on the Jedi. An epic moment marked by a fart. Who knows, maybe it'll work. I have less problem with the fart itself than the Jedi Master's cowardice and deception.

Dogg.

Personally, I thought those bits were funny. I know a lot of people were turned off by it, but I thought it was great to see classic threepio humor in AOTC.

If this rumor pans out, I'll probably be one of the few message board posters that don't have a major problem with it.

Maybe you're right Mecha but there is far more plausible proof that this spy-report from TFN is pure 100% shite.

GL would never degrade his beloved Yoda into a farting coward. Remember, they even filmed an alternate Dooku - Windu fight for AotC just in chase the CGI lightsaber-fight-Yoda isn't good enough to do him justice.
GL has always been very protective how this character is displayed so I call this report BS.

For real? I never heard that.

I don't believe Yoda will fart. Even if evidence comes along to support the rumor, I will choose to disbelieve. "Wacky Yoda" already appeared in ESB and he was Muppet-funny, not South Park-funny.

I agree with Roland and G-Fett on TFN - unless he's got extremely compelling evidence in hand, Josh truly fumbled with this one.

The scene doesn't make much sense to me. How can Yoda pretend to be Chewie's pet when the clonetroopers know that he's one or the only Jedi General assigned to Kashyyyk?

I am close to production of this crap fest. I just heard that Yoda has a fart scene in the movie. I kid you not. Who knows if theyit will make it in but the shot is in dailes at ILM. this is no joke.

Totally agreee with this, I felt the Threepio moments in AOTC were very much in context with his previous perfomances and also totalllyrang true with his previous reactions ( ie-Cloud City) Yes, cinematically it was here for obvious comic reaction, but in real trerms it worked well reminding th eaudience of just exactly who Threepio is.

You know, if there's actual evidence floating around for this, I might retract my criticism of Josh. Making a stink about it now may cause the gag not to make the final edit. And this soon after a TFN story got picked up by the broader media, the impact might be maximized.

Edit: Jacen_Fett on TFN found this: http://cargobay.starwars.com/webapps/ca ... tail/15947

I suspect this was the spark that started the rumor.

No, but no-one suggested YOU had...these films ain't being made for you any more, they're for the general public who need as many signposts and pointer as you can possibly give them....apologies if you felt my last post rounded you into that category, I'd hoped the 3PO in battle scenes might've distracted you enough to allow you to ignore them and just get on with the story you're being told.

Yoda does perform some of his kooky ESB schtick that is for certain. Better prepare for that because it is gonna happen.

I'm not aware of covering himself in mud or farting though.

Wait a minute, a Jedi Master has to smear mud and fart in order to get by some clonetroopers yet in the next episode Ben just waives his hand and makes the stormtroopers repeat his words allowing him to pass?

I don't buy it. First of all it's pretty fucking hard to mix Tatooine with Kashyyyk. Especially since Tatooine is supposed to barely be seen in Ep3. Second, if faced with a situation that involves getting by a lot of clonetroopers or anyone remotely human, I hope to god Yoda would use a Jedi mind trick instead of covering himself with mud and farting.

With one scenario, the rumored one, you have kiddy-type humor that perhaps might pass in the right situation. In the second scenario you have a true ode to a scene in ANH in which Yoda uses a mind trick like Ben will do in the next episode.

Hmmm... weighing them out... I'd opt for the Jedi mind trick. That's if any of this shit is even close to being true in the first place.

If this is intended as humor..I'll pass...It would be just as well recieved if it was a tactic like a Jedi mind fart which causes confusion in the clonetroopers..Or Dooku shooting lightning out of his sphincter..humor for the 4 yr olds, horrible for everyone else.

Wow! This is the FIRST thing I've heard negative about III.

While I hope it doesn't happen (the loose tibanna gas), it could be the only "light hearted" moment in what is going to be a very, very dark episode.

I don't think we've heard anything else that may get a laugh out of this movie. Unless, the Ben references are in.

If it has to be done, I don't mind Yoda acting goofy. Just stay the hell away from the fart jokes.

Another thing I just thought of... are we going to see Wookie subtitles? How is Yoda going to be passed off as Chewie's pet if Chewie can't talk to the troopers?

My vote is for no subtitled Wookies.

But again... it makes NO sense. Why would the Clonetroopers suddenly forget who YODA is? I mean he's the goddamn head of the Jedi Council and the commander of all the troops on the planet - the one who gives them all their battle orders! What, they suddenly forget who the fuck he is?

I don't buy it, but it could be legit. Has anyone considered that it might be meant for an easter-egg gag reel? Both TPM and AOTC had them, with plenty of work by ILM. I would lay money down that if this is indeed legit, it's meant for the gag reel.

That not to say that I don't like the idea of Yoda putting on his ESB act to throw the troopers off balance (ie "Away put your weapons I mean you no harm") but farting in THAT scene? No way.

I don't have a problem with the fact that Yoda might acted like in ESB but the fart joke is too much... I still think that this scene doesn't make sense...

hmm slightly different to ANH. The clonetroopers in ROTS have been ordered to kill the Jedi with extreme prejudice, unlike those bent cunts in Mos Eisley.

Also, there's a shitload more of them, and with a lot more firepower. I can see Yoda turning on the act - there are other ways besides fighting.

btw, the journey thru the trees should provide some cool thrills as well. Let's just say Chewie is more adept at flying thru trees than running along the ground.

SI - the whole time with the Wookie's has now got me thinking about the subtitles. Does anyone know if they have any lines in the script or what?

Demodex - IMHO can't think of anything I've heard bad about III. Everything sounds like it's fitting into place. Honestly, the movie is much darker than I ever thought Lucas would go. I always figured he'd wuss out. At this point of AotC we had heard some very negative things about the romance aspect. Certainly nothing on the line of a Yoda fart or Jar Jar dance.

TFn haven't posted bonfide spoilers for most of this year because they want to dodge LFL legal matters, so they announce this kind of inane, sub-par bullshit to encourage the odd post in their own flailing forum.

Why the fuck would they start with real spoilers now?

I could maybe understand the fact that it would be a much more hostile environment, but how many stormtroopers were around Ben and Luke in Mos Eisley? There were something like 5 or 6 if I'm not mistaken, all up in their shit. So Yoda, a much stronger Jedi with the Force(ah that high midi-chlorian count), couldn't fuck off the same amount if not more clones regardless of the situation?

Unless of course the clones aren't as weak minded as stormtroopers... regardless this whole story just seems like sheep jack off. Scott spooged.

Actually, MF as a bunch of Lucas apologists IS the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. How many websites have had the consistant shit that this one has? How many websites have had the discussions this one has had? How many websites have leaked certain downloadable things like this one?

MF is the coolest shit that has happend for SW fans. Other sites have become much like the prequel trilogy - mindless bureaucracy.

DP or Tern (can't remember) had the best sig for the longest time. "MF. We're much cooler than you superfriends."

I hear what you're saying Ben, but Yoda and Chewie's predicament is far dire. They're basically in the middle of a war zone. Yoda's plan is the right one - and it works to good effect - long enough for Chewie and him to escape to the trees.

Something that perhaps makes me think this story could be true is the fact that Yoda is a good actor. Not only in ESB when fooling Luke into believing he was some crazy fool, but also in AOTC when he drops his cane and fights Dooku. Then after the fight he just goes back to using the cane. Kinda like Willy Wonka when he comes out of his factory with a cane, falls, rolls, and stands up without it.

If there are 2 good actors in the galaxy pulling the wool over people's eyes it would be Yoda and Palpatine for sure.

But for me this is still one of those 'believe it when I see it' things.

A character in the film to sell action figures. Why have Dooku killed in the first 10 minutes! It would be so much better if his character, whom the audience is already familiar with, was further developed and utilized than a fucking robot that yields lightsabers with his feet.

And Boba Fett w/armor, ship and accessories was integral to the story in Empire, and not used to sell toys by the bucket-full at all.

Not to mention the five other bountyhunters that appeared in ONE, WHOLE SCENE! Brilliant storytelling and only that! :whateva:

Demodex,

Don't let this place scare you off. Discussion is what we're all about.

Lots of people here don't like all the prequels or changes in the OT. Just don't expect everyone to agree with you, and try not to be a total to dick to those that disagree. ;)

Back on topic.

I definitely don't totally buy this story. It comes across as TFN trolling for extra hits, but I could see something similar happening to lighten the heavy mood in the last half of the film.

I'm still having problems just with that aspect of the scene. Why would putting mud on his face and acting helpless fool the clones? They know who he is.

Acting like he means them no harm whilst pretending to be someone else shouldn't be able to work on them, should it? :?
