I don't really mind watching the O.C. b/c of the hot girls on it(now a couple are actually making out with each other). I'm sure it will be worth it. Hyperspace is a lot of money; I never understood why people subscribed in the first place, but maybe it's just me. It does sound like you HS members did get shafted, so I guess I'm just glad I didn't waste my money.

Fantastic, now in order to watch the trailer I have to sit through some After School Anorexia Special of a show. I just hope that I can resist the temptation of taking up Bulimia to join the fanbase of that show.

Its just a sad thing that when our useful braincells get taken by a show like the OC. I just wish that after having watched an episode of that show I could ask for that hour of my life back.

And KitFisto, dude you know her name? But its your life, if you like it then who am I to say what can & cant watch. I mean I thought The Tick live action show was the shit. Dance fatboy dance!

Announcer:"The batter steps into the box & readies for the pitch. He's definitely having a better season this year, his average has gone up considerably. Wait, what's that sticking out of his buttocks? It looks like..like a syringe! Well Jim it looks like he's going to have an asterisk by his name in this years record books."

So when is opening day?

The OC rocks, the geek Seth has had 3 hot girlfriends since the show started. And it is really funny.

For those of you in the NYC area….Possible early screening of ROTS trailer....

I was reading the paper on my way to work today and saw the following information in an advertisement:

Complimentary Movie passes to a special advance screening of Robots on March 5th at the Manhattan Theatre…

Pick up your pass Friday, March 4th between 10AM – 2PM at TOWER RECORDS on 692 Broadway between 3rd- 4th Street. Each pass will admit TWO people.

Now, I do not know if they show trailers in advance screenings, but I thought I would pass along the information.

Just FYI. Most advanced screenings are shown without any trailers at all.

I go to alot of advance screenings, and mostly you get trailers, but you won't see new trailers.

I go to advance screenings in Dallas all the time too. Trailers are a rarity here.

Guess it's different in other parts of the country.

That ticks me off. I don't want to watch the OC, I can't stand that garbage, but it must be 20th Century Fox pulling the strings, I can't see Lucasfilm making that decision on their own. Blame Fox, they are the distibuter.

If it's anything like last time around when the AOTC trailer was shown during Malcom in the Middle, it'll the commercial break after the show. So, tune in around 8:25. And if you miss it, so what. It'll be online later that night.

I for one am quite puzzled by this decision. Is Lucas an OC fan or something?

Well, at least the trailer won't be premiering on TRL in front of a crowd of hopped up 13yr old Carson Daly fans who couldn't give a rancid fart about starwars. I'd rather lick the business end of a rabid weasel than watch :01 second of any MTV programming.

Remember when MTV actually played music videos. Man, those were the days.

The show is an hour long....

So if the trailer is to be played at the commercial break after the show, it would be at 8:55.

Just clarifying for all you non-OC watchers.

Teh OC :heavymetal:

They're both Fox. So LFL is cross-promoting the OC to get interest, because the OC is promoting ROTS.

That's a little risky because you might miss it by one commercial or you might come in the middle of it or something. You're right that it is probably at the end, but Fox's little ploy to get a whole bunch of people to watch the OC is probably going to work a little bit

I dont know where else to put this, so I'll just put it here. I don't know who to credit for this statement, but it wasn't me who made it, but I think it sums up perfectly the mirroring destinies of Anakin and Sidious, and hence a story point that connects the OT and the PT. It's very well put:

"In ESB, the Emperor forsees his destruction and Luke's hand in it, but it's no more full of specific detail than Anakin's dream concerning Padme in ROTS."

"And just as Anakin's attempt to prevent Padme's death starts a chain of events that actually causes her death, the Emperor's attempt to prevent his own destruction starts a chain of events that makes his destruction possible."

To me, that just illustrates the brilliance of the ROTS script right there.

i may be gouging my skull with a rusty steak-knife and moaning in agony, but if that's where they chose to debut the trailer, i'm fuckin there.

don't fret tho, i can guarantee the trailer will be posted here within the hour of it's official showing, given the quickness the "trailer's-trailer" made it online. while we are all tearing it apart frame by frame, i'm sure HS will be hustling to throw up an official online version that will be passed around as well.

either way, tomorrow will be a good day, and the worry about the OC junk doesn't hold a candle to my anticipation to see this trailer in full-fledge.
i'm almost ready to down some nyquil, pass out, so i can wake up to tomorrow.

Yeah, I may hate the OC, but I'm not about to let a little thing like that stop me from seeing the trailer to one of the most highly anticipated movies of my life. I mean, it's not like I'm admitting that it's good just by watching some of it.
