"I'm not faking.

But this is all I will say on this topic.

****** of the Whills will also be mentioned, and ******** of the Whills will be mentioned, too.

JG "

what's up with this journal of the whills bullshit? and now there's another book too??

that's from the very first EP IV novelisation from back in the day.

the quote: "...And in the time of greatest despair there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as: THE SON OF THE SUNS." is taken from it and put before the beginning of the book.

also, in Star Wars: the Annotated Screenplays, Lucas elaborates:

"Originally, I was trying to have the story be told by somebody else; there was somebody watching this whole story and recording it, somebody probably wiser than the mortal players in the actual events. I eventually dropped this idea, and the concepts behind the Whills turned into the Force. But the Whills became part of this massive amount of notes, quotes, background information that I used for the scripts; the stories were actually taken from the 'Journal of the Whills'."

DARTH PLAGUEIS - there are scores of legends about this Sith. But was he was powerful enought to cheat death? Certainly he could at least use the power of the Force to lengthen his life.

JG

Darth Plagueis wouldnt surprise me, but correct me if Im wrong with this as I very well might be.

Doesn't Yoda end up defeating a DJM sometime in the SW Timeline, where the DJM's LifeForce (if you will) is stored in a tree. The DJM's 'LifeForce' is able to seep through the roots of this mighty tree that Yoda has suppressed it to, and the 'Darkside' ends up encompassing all of a little planet known to some as Dagobah.

Yoda then decides to hide out there after the Republic falls. The Dark side of the force that is inhibted in the tree by the DJM therefore cancels out Yoda's strong influence of the Lightside of the force, making him invisible to the Emperor and Vader as they purge the galaxy.

Just a Tid Bit I had picked up somewhere along the way.

My Regards.

Sorry, but that's some third-rate EU drivel that's been contradicted by the films.

Yay. This is some really new news... :whateva:

Look, if Palpatine is going to give some history lesson to Anakin about the plight of the Sith, I am pretty sure a few Darth names are going to be thrown around. ;)

More from Josh:

Quote:
All 3 are planets, but one of them is very different.

Cato Neimoidia is also described as a Neimoidian colony world. Well done!

We all know that GL likes to use mytholgy and all that good stuff. I noticed that mygeeto sounds very close to Megiddo. If I'm not mistaken, the second word is a word used in the bible that refers to armageddon. Exactly the observation I was looking for!

According to the rumour, they land on a planet with small grey aliens :S
Padme gives birth on that planet and dies.

Do we assume that Cato Nemoidia would be the home of none other than the Nemoidians? Obviously a few of those planets could be seen in scant snippets as a Jedi gets axed by a horde of clones but still....how solid are any of the names? Especially considering they come from Josh "OK our teaser poster was bullshit and I knew it but our teaser trailer description is true I promise!" Griffen?

I agree, that would make the most sense timing-wise, both in the story (how long does Padme linger, anyway?) and in the film (there's not many scenes after The Duel to establish an entirely new planet).

I understand the perceived risks in having the site shut down. Whether or not Lucas actually would take real action is another story.

I just don't care much for these cryptic comments he keeps making. If you know that Sidious is going to mention another Sith in the movie just say it. If you know the names of 3 planets in the movie, just say it. If you know the Journal of the Wills will play a role in the movie, just say how. If you have cool pictures from the movie, just show them. If you aren't willing to do these things, keep them to yourself until you are.

Maybe some people like these guessing games. I don't. I'd rather people take what they get and let it out for all to see like DP does.

I think the birth will begin on the Naboo cruiser...it's the only ship that has specifically had a bunk bed built into it. The only known shots on the Tantive IV involve Obi and Yoda's return to Coruscant.

But anyhoo...

I think Dehrian has already stated that Cato Neimoidian is a person from the EU.

I think the birth will take place in space as well. Doesn't seem to be enough time for another landing. However, it doesn't look like a Naboo Cruiser in the "Fear for the Future" Topps card.

In the Before The Helmet of Bail and his speeder, it says he participates in a midair rescue of a Jedi Master. We also know that a window is broken in the Chancellor's office (although I forget the source on that).

Is it possible that during the Sidious-Yoda confrontation, Yoda is thrown through a window in the Chancellor's office and Bail rescues him?

Really? I thought the Tantive was used in Bail's rescue and escape of Yoda's from Coruscant. That seems to make more sense, since the Tantive is an Alderaanian ship. Bail rescues Yoda in the speeder--board the Tantive, get to mustafar, grab Obi and Padme, Padme delivers on the Tantive.

I thought Yoda and Obi meet up on Coruscant on separate rides after communications with each other via hologram

Bail, Obi and Yoda return to Coruscant together. There is a scene where they are all in the cockpit and have to get security clearance to enter Coruscant.

After they land, Bail and Obi-Wan head to the Senate. Yoda disappears - obviously heading to the Temple.

Yoda and Bail escape via speeder and Bail uses his comlink to get the Tantive IV ready to depart. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan goes to Padme and breaks the news. However, he has picked up her Naboo crusier and heards the group onto the ship.

After that, they all head back to Alderaan and regroup. That is when Padme leaves with Artoo and Threepio for Mustafar, thinking she can save Anakin.

Bail delivers Yoda and Obi-Wan to Coruscant after the clones turn. How he gets them is unclear.

As I read the evidence, Obi-Wan and Yoda are in the temple together. Bail, apparently in prearranged subterfuge, rescues Yoda as he escapes. At some point Obi-Wan leaves to meet with Padme. I suspect he leaves before Yoda fights Sidious, but there's no real evidence either way.

Ternian is certain about the Alderaan part before Mustafar, but I am less so.

Don´know what Shadowfeed is, probably an EU news source, alá Holonet. Anyway, found this interesting Shadowfeed-tidbit related to one of the planet-names:

Quote:
Shadowfeed 71 is dispatched: Neimoidian Home Defense Legions double conscription rates in response to a decree issued by General Grievous's office. All reservists are called up for active protection of Neimoidia, Deku Neimoidia, Koru Neimoidia and Cato Neimoidia.

Well, someone is bullshitting.

Cato Neimoidia can't be a planet as stated.

1) Pablo just stated that no EU planets were in EpIII.

2) Cato Neimodia is an EU person.

I think Pablo once said something about the EU character not being the only thing from the EU in the movie. (I know the Juggernaut already covers this, but there could be more)

I cant remember exactly where i read it, but it was hinted at by the OS that it was an editing joke. However the last time Josh mentioned it he said it was still in the rough cut of the movie. If his source wasn't 'in' on the joke though it might not be in the movie. I don't want to slate the idea as some really wacky stuff on paper can often work excellently on screen, but i just don't think it's necessary.

Order 66 is the directive Palpatine gives to wipe out the Jedi. The Clones turn at this point.

Delegation of 2000 is the united Senators and politicians against Palpatine. They are concerned about his powers. This is the start of the Rebellion, before the Empire even takes shape.

edit: Y'know, the more I'm reading these spoilers the more I'm guessing that JG has got a copy of an early draft of the novelisation rather than a shooting script. Some of the things he's putting out their just scream superflous to me....like the kind of detail a novel would go into where a movie wouldn't, particularly the PT novels.

I had the same thought - he's more likely to have the novel than the script. The novel passes through a lot more hands, in a less secure fashion. However, I don't think Josh's details would be out of place in a script. Rather he's just picking random references that may not have much to do with the big picture.

Cato Neimoidia is not necessarily an EU planet. Those Holonet/Shadowfeed bits are written by Pablo, and that particular item was written well after principal photography. Pablo has been dropping ROTS tidbits in them for a year now.

JG's apparently confirmed Sidious v Yoda in a PM to someone over there. He then went on to say:

Don't ask specifics to me about this, because I will not tell anyone under any conditions. You need this sequence to be a surprise. I can honestly say, now that I've seen it, please, please do yourself a favor and walk away from this. Wow.

When asked if we'd see the full power of the Dark Side he said:

You have no idea.

JG

I'm definitely leaning towards either the novelisation or the Art of books, purely from the above. I don't think he CAN go into the specifics as he hasn't seen them in motion, just as the concept art . Just my tuppence.
