Hmm.. that Anakin pic is Before the Helmet #17. Though his left side of face has been photoshopped. But atleast the posture of the robe is identical.

i bet everyone here thought when they seen the episode 1 teaser poster of anakin and a darth vader shadow u said that was a fake but it wasn't and this is real why would josh lie he's giving out spoilers left and right and why would he lie about the teaser trailer

I'm not saying it's not fake, as I have NO idea either way. But when LFL makes these posters, they have to use backgrounds too. If they happened to use a background that was available on the internet, like this one for say, that doesn't mean LFL made a fake poster.

I agree that the background being available is at least a little suspicious, but I'm not gonna rule out the authenticity completely just because of it.

It's not just the background. Anakin's body is cut from BTH #17, his head has been placed from some other pic. Shape of Vader doesn't look right - and it certainly doesn't look like a professional job. Smoke hides noise of background pic. There was no "May 2005" text in Ep1 or Ep2 teasers. This one doesn't have LFL and FOX's copyrights on it.

And it doesn't look like SW teaser. Both Ep1 and Ep2 posters were much more simpler than this one.

I think that's what the gist of it is (the silhouette actually being the hood). I think we'll need a clearer pic before we really know I'm hoping it's just the way his hood is falling.

You'r right about the robe.But still there is something about the poster that dosnt seem right...I dont like it .. it seems fake .. it is hard to point out why, it just dosn't look right. The way the images are put togheter seems wrong and fake!

I have a few dozen pictures I'm way for excited about than this one - I just figured a poster (if legit) wouldn't ruffle as many feathers as completed Yoda fighting shots, new vehicles like the Tri-Fighter skimmming along the surface of a Star Destroyer and Sidious and Anakin with lit lightsabers together.

This is a risk I'm willing to take, real or not. The other stuff, which is 100% credible, would bring the wrath of Lucas.

Let's photoshop Yoda fighting in front of a volcano and title the pic "Yoda comes to Obi-Wan's rescue" and send it to Josh Griffen under the spy moniker of LFL1138.

Just want point out some things that stick out to me.

Episode II + I: They took the Episode II text and added a 'I' in a sloppy manner.

There's a subtle hint of a ... shit look for yourselves. A box around the text in the bottom right.

This thing is faker than a small percentage of bitches breasts in the greater Los Angeles area.

Yeah there's absolutely no reason why LFL would use a previously seen BTH pic of Anakin for something as important as the Ep3 teaser poster. The key thing that tipped me to the Ep2 teaser being real when that first appeared on the net was the fact that the pics of Anakin and Padme were completely new.

LFL doesn't recycle pics for teaser posters and if they start with Ep3 they suck.

Geez, you guys will be eating your words when that proves to be the 100% official poster that it is...

My thoughts on seeing it too. The imagery is a bit like a sledgehammer, whereas looking at the previous two there is a bit more subtlety to the teasers.

While I don't doubt that using Vader for the teaser is one of the more logical and smart ways to create interest, it doesn't seem right that they'd use the same trick twice in having Vader as a shadow.

I'm on the fence.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was real, but there's alot people here have pointed out that proves it could be fake.

The final teaser could simply be a more polished version of this poster....new pic of Anakin etc.

Could just be a concept pic of the teaser.

If that thing ends up being the teaser poster I'll change my avatar to a pic of Jar Jar with a dick in his mouth for one month.

Oh BS we love spoilers regardless of where they come from. Do you see people bagging on the ROTS Trailer description? No! But it came from TF.N.

As Duke too posted, an LFL artist posted in TFN's banner thread saying that it's fake. I don't know about you but for me this -does- raise some doubts about that banner being real if nothing else does. Here's some more what he (TDHArtist) said:





Of course, I have no idea if this guy is really an LFL employee but he seems legitimate. On the other hand, he doesn't really say anything else than "that's not real" with no explanations why it isn't. I'll just wait and see.

Oh and hi all.

TFn won't be as they aren't allowed to post copyrighted material. In the past people have even been banned for linking to leaked trailers, or asking for it. Hosting a leaked trailer would have TFn shut down pretty quick.

My bet would be to watch MF for advanced screenings.



He really is an LFL employee, but a comic strip artist who probably has little contact with the marketing bigboys, or the artists for the posters.

To be honest, I wouldn't know either way. I just don't presume anything - its the safest way to be LFL is a massive company, and I'm pretty sure certain things are kept very secret until the last minute.

Perhaps it doesn't know the precise details of the first teaser poster, but what he does know is that it isn't going to be a single shot of anakin.

Possibly a shot of anakin and obiwan fighting could be a good teaser - there's been a huge focus on it in current marketing (ie in Hyperspace, and on the EP3 OT DVD segments) so perhaps they'll run with that.
