Today starwars-union.de reports about upcoming releases of german Star Wars novels.

The publisher Randomhouse released the german cover of James Luceno's Episode III tie-in novel, which can be seen here (third cover).

Along with that came a short description of the novel. Here's my bad translation ;) :)

Quote:
Anakin Skywalker's companions, in first place Obi-Wan Kenobi and Padmé Amidala, observe with great concern how their friend struggles more and more in restraining his fiery temperament. Even more so as the war against the Separatists becomes more and more hopeless and the young Jedi's disappointment about the corrupt politicians and the mighty of the Republic grows. Then something happens with decisive significanse for Anakin's future and the fate of the whole galaxy.

300 pages, release date is february 2005.

Regarding the cover, Del Rey often use fairly recognisable symbols on their covers for markets outside the US. There really isn't all that many instantly recognisable SW images, but Vader is one, and with it being a tie-in to Ep3 I'm not greatly surprised by it.

We will though likely see a photo based cover used for the general English release.

It's really dark and "very promising"

When speaking of the script he said it was a "pleasure" to have read.
