EDIT: We just found out what this thing is.In the radio drama, I remember that they talk about bringing the Death Star plans to the Imperial vault or some such thing. Is this the place?
I guess the assumption is that Jyn and her gang simply download the stations blueprints right from the Death Star's main computer.
But maybe not.
