MIZZLEWUMP REVISITED

Back in March 2014 "Mizzlewump" posted on 4chan's /tv/ forum the plot of the Abrams-Kasdan second draft. All of this was before the main cast was announced a month later and VII co-star Jon Boyega's character revealed to be a Stormtrooper.



Almost everything has been confirmed minus Rey's parentage and Son of Calrissian:

>Leia is made leader of the Republic after her predecessor's death
>Han is a retired veteran of the Republic fleet
>Luke hasn't been seen in nearly 30 years

Leia confirmed as "General" - codename on set as "Queen"
Han confirmed as Freighter pilot minus Falcon
Luke confirmed in seclusion

>The lead character is Han and Leia's daughter

>The other lead is the child of Lando, and either a male or female depending on who is cast
>The other lead is a Stormtrooper, also either a male or female depending on who is cast

>Dialogue for these two characters is very rough in the second draft

Confirmed: Lead Stormtrooper (Jon Boyega) character revealed a few months later.
Unconfirmed: Rey's parentage, although released dialog centers around "family"
Unconfirmed: Lando son/daughter - speculated Stormtrooper and Calrissian-son were almagated in later drafts

>The Empire still exists in the form of a number of loyal galaxies and are in a state of cold war with the Republic
>The Empire is simply referred to as the "Empire," and the Republic is referred to formally only once, as the "Galactic Republic;" no "New" anywhere

Confirmed: The First Order as remnants of Empire.

>The main antagonists are an older student of the Emperor, and his apprentice
>The apprentice takes control of the power dynamic between the two pretty quickly...

Confirmed: Main antagonists Snoke and his "apprentice" Kylo Ren

>Loredump: In the script, the Sith are a couple thousand years old, founded by an ancestor of Palpatine called Ruin; the apprentice in this film also goes by that name

Confirmed: Loredump in the form of the revised Forceback detailing Knights Of Ren and events leading to Luke's Seclusion.
Not confirmed: Loredump as presented in the Abrams-Kasdan second draft.




>The Republic are excavating ruins on a neutral world for a weapon; the world factors into tense negotiations the Empire have had with the Republic, and is referred to as the "Sith Homeworld"
>The ruins within the Sith Homeworld are a control station; the planet itself is the weapon

Confirmed: Starkiller Base
Not confirmed: Republic excavation and Sith homeworld.


>There are no Jedi whatsoever, and people still speak as if they are extinct, with Luke being "the last of his kind"
>Luke has no known offspring
>Luke saves the day at the end, but in a bad way; he has changed

Unconfirmed: Current evidence suggests Luke showing up in the end just sitting.





MF CONCEPT ART REVISITED

Below is MF's concept art arranged chronologically from what is known now.
As shown below - most of the movie was already out there a year ago.

I really hope Finn isn't Lando's son, but other than that, it all sounds good to me.

Execution is 90% of the battle. Let's hope they did a good job with whatever they decided to do.
