Good episodes all around.

Too bad the CN censored scene remained cut out. I was hoping for a change of heart at the last minute.

Guess we'll have to wait for the blu-ray version before we get to see it. Unless those across the pond find that the scene stayed in for their broadcasts.

Thanks for the ultra-fast upload on these, the UK isn't getting this til the 23rd of October.

What was censored?

Apparently Asajj sneaks in a kiss with a clone she just speared (the skull-helmeted one) just before meeting with Grievous. Probably was a set up for the line "there's nothing you have that I could want."

Too bad it didn't make the final cut. I think it adds some depth to her character, and brings back some of that skewed hyper-sexuality that she had earlier in the series, but seemed to have had turned down as the series went on.

Thank you for the episode. It's great to finally see this show return and it is really beyond a cartoon now - it's just extraordinary to watch.

Thanks alot for getting these episodes up, they were great!

Too bad about the censored scene, too.

Thanks for the upload!

The first episode was pretty weak, IMO. The second one got better. Next week is Jar-Jar? Not the most promising of season openings.

Yep. Totally would have made that scene better.

But it wasn't necessary for it to be a good episode, though.

And was that Obi-Wan using his animal call talents to get the whale's attention? Interesting choice by the writers for his mode of getaway.

Yeah, I definitely like the edge that censored scene gives to Ventress' character. Most intriguing. And even though I found the cadets damned annoying, the best elements of these two episodes was the continuity they created with the clones.

That scene should have been left in. Now it appears awkward and obviously edited.
Thanks paranoid Cartoon Network dick.

Impressive episodes. I really enjoyed seeing more of Kamino and the formative stages of the life of a clone trooper. The scene/altercation between Bric and CT-4040 (Cutup) was pretty intense. Also, the life and death of 99 or 300's hunchback Spartan was a nice addition to the episodes. I also thought the interaction between Grievous and Ventress was well written. I love how she grabs his face plate and acts all saucy with him. What else... Oh, it's nice to finally see some grander space battles. Those were missing in the second season.

Overall, the season's off to a promising start. Eagerly awaiting next week's episode. :)

I also drew a "300" parallel with 99 though he is accepted by the Cloners as useful for something as opposed to the factually true point that Spartan society had genetically defective infants killed not long after birth.

C'mon guys ... impressive? These weren't "impressive" at all. Entertaining, perhaps? If you can get past the thoroughly predictable plot of "Clone Cadets," as well as the utter stupidity of the cadets themselves, then yeah, there were a couple of decent scenes - Cutup & Bric, as mentioned above, for example. But it was essentially Bad News Bears Clone Cadets, complete with the cliché happy ending. Hardly impressive.

The second episode was better - Ventress was much more fully realized and interesting, the space battle was intense - but it still wasn't anywhere near as impressive as, say, "Landing at Point Rain." Although, the final moments with 99 were effectively realized.

I actually think the series as a whole is much better than most people give it credit for, but I'm not going to go so far as to say that these episodes were a whole lot better than average for the series.

I think the reason this scene was cut wasn't the kiss, but the impalement of the clone.
IMHO

I think the censorship was due to Asajj kissing a dead clone. If she kissed Commander Colt and then stabbed, it may have squeaked through. Both episodes contained plot points which will probably be played out in this season or the next. Between the two, I enjoyed Clone Cadets the best.

With Clone Cadets, the writers made a concerted effort to balance the expository plot with the emotions of the characters. In turn, I liked watching the clones mature and wasn’t bothered by the predictable ending. Overall, I was impressed by how the animators and Dee Bradley Baker made each clones into unique persons through variations in their demeanor. Lama su’s urgent statement about finding a new clone template makes me think that the series will introduce this person or these persons in the near future.

I also wonder what the Separatists would have done with Jango’s DNA. In its analysis, Darth Sidious may find the key to Order 66.

Is the order an imprint in their DNA, or is it part of a long list of Contingency Orders put in place, that all GAR personnel must obey without question?

I like that Kamino came into play, as well as the search for a new DNA template, the Domino squad history...

Still, I also think these 2 episodes were rather weak/average. One of the problems was that the stories, action scenes, characters and settings were pretty much a rehash of what we already seen during previous seasons.

Come and save Season 3, Jar Jar Binks! ;)

This is shaping up better than any of the previous seasons, that's for sure ! I actually never skipped a scene watching this and I wanted to do that a lot of times when watching previous pilots. Also, for the first time things felt epic - Kamino interiors falling apart, space battle, clone troopers against the aqua drones. What's the best, however is the way they implemented 99 , especially near the end. Clone Wars never had that amount of "feeling" in it. Can't wait to see new episode !

I Actually skipped past the Virtual Reality parts and preferred ARC Troopers over Clone Cadets. I loved everything about ARC Troopers from the Kamino environment to a more aggressive Anakin wanting to execute Ventress on the spot. In regards to this season - I don't think it was a good idea to have a Ryloth prequel (thus re-using the Ryloth model environment) this early into a new season or feature Jar Jar and Bail Organa as the main protagonists in said episode.

The leomotif of this season is Secrets Revealed with the main focus on Clone Troopers - as opposed to last season's Bounty Hunter focus. Lucas and Company have said this season has connections to the Original Trilogy and with the Clone Trooper DNA featured prominently in the season premeire perhaps it's not that unreasonable to assume that Boba is the new DNA donor for new (Storm) Troops.

The next four episodes revealed:

Episode S03E04 • Sphere Of Influence
Episode S03E05 • Corruption
Episode S03E06 • The Academy
Episode S03E07 • Assassins
