In the season II preview I noticed Ahsoka had a new set of clothes. Do you think this is a permanent change?

As for the episode, I thought is was so-so. The scenes between Anakin and Padme seemed only on par or a slight step up from the films. Not a lot of great action with Bane either. He just stood there and gave orders. But the preview did show that he's got a lot of potential. I already like him better than Durge.

I don't know if it's just a clothing change; she looks a bit older, too. Here's a screencap I took from the preview:

I want to thank those who uploaded the Clone Wars. Very often I would not have time to watch the show and would miss it. These uploads catch me up.

It was an excellent series.

I would also like to thank the kind folk here who have uploaded the entire season of The Clone Wars. :heavymetal:

It's been great watching a new Star Wars story every week - let's hope this continues for a very long time to come.

Again - thanks too all who helped make this happen (especially for us Canadians who don't get to see this show live).

I liked this episode. The only thing I may not have been so thrilled about was the potential of Ziro being involved in future episodes; but even then it's still kind of cool how they ended season 1 with a resolution to the beginning (i.e. Ziro being foiled in the Clone Wars movie, which was the de facto first episode of this season). Bane seems like he could have been the PT Boba Fett.

For a first season it was really terrific. I'm looking for the characters to age a bit for next season, technology progression...

Many thanks to everyone who's made this series available over the last few months, you guys rule!!

Without wishing to appear to be "all about the FILEZ!11!" I don't suppose anyone has the series 2 preview available for download or know whether it's online somewhere? For some reason Sky stopped showing us the previews in the UK.

Cheers again guys!

Great work on getting the new episodes up. Really enjoyed this first season of CW. Can't wait for Season 2.

Cad Bane was decent. The episode was actually pretty neat. I enjoyed Anakin sneaking around and killing that IG-88 droid. I also liked how a different area of the senate was shown as opposed to the usual haunt with all of Yoda and Palpatine's frisbees. Also dug how the first appearance of the joint was actually as an action setting as opposed to boring diplomatic shit.

Yeah it looks like Ahsoka's actually clothed in the upcoming season. Less hooker, more 80's fitness chick.

(incorrect aspect ratio due to full screen)

HD 720p is up. If your computer can play them and if you have a fast connection I would save a viewing for the HD versions. My second viewing of the series is always saved for the 720p as the SD versions tend to come out first. The Coruscant sky and cityscape in this episode was rendered beautifully and deserve to be seen in HD.

Cad Bane is awesome and awesome to look at. A few issues with Cad Bane though. One is selling the character as the ultimate bounty hunter when there is Fett. There is also the issue of regulating a film character, in this case Aurra Sing to a supporting character role. A case could have also been made for saving Cad Bane and Aurra Sing for the Live-Action Series. On the other side, the presence of Cad Bane and Aurra Sing could mean more Fett for the Live-Action Series, since it's looking like no there are Fetts in the New Clone Wars.

A Clone Wars DVD comes out this week, featuring the first four episodes aired: Ambush and The Malevolence Trilogy. Maybe we should get up rips of those as video would be OAR. (The previous DVD thread was merged into a existing one.)

This episode touches on the "Jedi without a lightsaber" theme that George Lucas explored in the prequels. Although there was not a lot of action, the tension effectively built up to the final confrontation between the bounty hunters and the clones on the landing platform. Also, this episode continues to demonstrate that this is not just kid’s fluff: here we have Padme and Anakin's make-out session and several casual executions from the bounty hunters.

Cad Bane succeeds very well as the new threat heading into season two. With his svelte Peter Lorre voice and cool sounding blaster, this guy has a ton of personality and I can’t wait to see him in action again. Presumably he is the best in the galaxy since Jango is gone. I can’t help but wonder if young Boba will meet up with him in any way.

This episode (204) and The Hidden Enemy (201) represent, production wise, season 2. I think this is great indication that in six months this show will be an even bigger blast.

I love that moment where he realizes Anakin is spying from the platform and starts firing at him - "Skywalker! After him!" That's classic swashbuckling Star Wars.

The most clever part of the Cad Bane character (and his arc in general) is that it gives the characters another enemy - a separate set of adventures even - outside the context of the Clone Wars. When you think about it, the war is quite a restrictive time frame since all the major characters we know of are tied up in it. To introduce a side quest is terrific and was probably necessary for the sake of keeping the show fresh.

Lucasfilm should stop pussyfooting around these extra features and get the Blu-ray set released.

LFL mentioned a November 17th date for the box set release, so we still have a loong wait ahead. :(

And that flyer/pamphlet only mention a DVD boxed set. I hope they consider a Blu-ray release as well.

The series just aired. Getting it on video isn't really a concern of mine right now, if ever.

This looks to have dropped Wednesday. They ask him about season 2, and will we see Fett and Vos in future episodes. It's an OK article.

So, if Boba is Clint and Cad is Angel Eyes, I suppose there is a Tuco equivalent coming down the pike. I vote for Bossk.

It stands to reason that Boba will put an end to Cad since he is aligned with Jabba and Cad is aligned with Ziro. Also, one way to make a name for yourself as a Bounty Hunter is to take out another.

While I'd love to see that, I don't know how willing they are to put Boba in TCW given that they want to put him in Live Action as well.

I don’t believe it would overexposure as the series take place at different times in his life.

During the Clone Wars, Boba is only 12 or 13. So, given his age, I wouldn’t expect him to behave exactly as he does in the OT. Conversely, since he is in his twenties between Episodes 3 & 4, I would expect him to behave like his OT counterpart.

To this extent, Boba would be a good parallel to Ashoka. Specifically, both characters are learning their trade and developing their personalities.

Lucas has already established Boba as a parallel character for Anakin and Luke. So, this approach wouldn’t be much more of a stretch.

From that link Cryostar posted:

IGN: But the two I decided I would ask you about are Boba Fett and Quinlan Vos.

Filoni: Wow! Those are two to ask about.

IGN: [Laughs] Yes, I guess so.

Filoni: Well, I don't know how much I can say about that. I really don't want to spoil anything. I'll just kind of leave that hanging out there… except to say that those are two very good characters. It would make a lot of sense to use them at some point. So we'll just have to see, you know?

[hr]

Comes off to me as no clear yes or no answer on the appearance of either Fett or Vos.

I think they're cautious about messing with Vos.

There's a ton of history there, playing with it might alienate a big fan base. Then again, they've never cared about it before.
