Episode Brief: When Anakin is gravely injured in battle, Jedi General Aayla Secura must teach Ahsoka the Jedi philosophy of having no personal attachments -- while they brave the hostile planet in search of medical help for the Jedi Knight.

I've been having upload problems all week. In fact it took me a almost a week to upload the 720p rip of last weeks episode. Usually I watch the episode while uploading. Tonight I put off watching it until we had a download link. So now off to watch.

One of the best parts of this series is the uniqueness of each world/environment. Also the continual use of concepts from Ralph McQuarrie and now the Episode III design team.

Finally we get to see a little of Commander Bly,

What Ilike the most about this episode is the tension (what is going to happen next), the bird like creatures remind me of jurassic park(raptors).

It's nice to see that they're using lots of kinds of creatures in the series.

Thanks a lot for your efforts. I pm'ed everyone online that was remotely interested in Star Wars. Which is funny because there are a more than a few that come here only for the Movie Spoilers forum and the Cargo Forums (both reasons are ok with me btw).

Nice to see the unused lemur people concept from Episode III.

Topeka, love the Madagascar link! Now if they could just introduce the penguins into The Clone Wars. saying that the war would be over by Episode 14. "Wars do not make one great penguins do."

Christ, I did all this on my iPhone! Not bad for a 38 year old who's bit of a Muppet.

After I sat through the opening battle of this episode, I had to sit quietly for a moment and gather myself. My friends...

The opening action was sweet, even if parts of it were a little out there. So far in this series I think the direction of Rob Coleman has been the best. Especially in his action sequences.

As far as the script is concerned, I wasn't distracted by any dialogue. Which means Katie Lucas did her job. I'm glad there weren't any "I hate sand" moments. Of course, Gilroy may have done a big rewrite to make it serviceable. I guess we'll never know.

Great episode, great jedi work the ship to ship was great, it was nice to see the how much punishment one of those republic cruisers can take.

Did anyone else notice that when Anakin is knocked out cold with that breathing mask on before they crash that it's the same as Vader's breathing?

I love the little details that they put into these episodes.

I feel like every time I see something like this, where Anakin is shown with a little more humanity or where a little more is shown to him, it makes the abruptness of his fall in Ep. III a little more shallow. Too bad.

It was a pretty good episode, though.

They've said in interviews, the future seasons will move him toward a more Vader-like personality, seeing a bit of how he could end up where he does.

This was actually a pleasant episode. Katie Lucas did a pretty good job with the dialogue sequences.

By the way The Digital Bits has reported that later this year Lucasfilm will release the entire Clone Wars series on Blu-Ray (and DVD).

I thought it was an interesting episode. The opening battle was terrific.

What's so special about Bly? Never heard about him before.

Bly is the Clone commander that kills Aayla in ROTS.

All the clone commanders have fans for some reason. They all look the same to me.

Blue breasts was kind of annoying.



Some other scenes have had similarly jarring effects for me. Kit Fisto being this great fighter in the show and dying in 5 seconds in the movie...

Come on, this is Star Wars. Shit happens to all kinds of characters. Also, very suddenly and without any care if the viewer will be left traumatized or not.

There are different kinds of Clone Commanders and they look very differently to each other (different colors and helmets), to some Star Wars movie fans it's cool to see these commanders in a fase 1 armor, Thyre , Gree and Bly which had an appearance in RotS, already made it to the clone wars 3d series.

To the armor builders it's nice to know how they look.

I like aayla's accent, at first it seemed Jamaican in a way, but later on it had a french touch.

The corresponding video commentaries reveal how much influence George has on the series. Aayla's quasi-French accent stemmed from his input and has become a character trait of the entire Twi-lek species.

Btw, has anyone seen HD version of this yet? I want to see opening battle in HD in my 40" screen.

Yeah, I like seeing the different Clone Commanders in the Clone Wars series. I'm also a fan of Bly, as my clonetrooper is one of Bly's troops.

Yeah I get that, but I still don't see a difference. I see a difference between Stormtroopers, Snowtroopers, Biker Scouts, TIE Fighter Pilots, Death Star Gunners and Death Squad Commanders. Not these guys, though. Aside from the Phase 1 and 2 armor, most differences I notice are colored stripes or occasional headlight glasses on the helmets. Same voice, same guy underneath. I think I just got schooled in "Negligible Clone Trooper Armor Variations 101".



Yeah I heard in the next version of Return of the Jedi, "Bib Fortuna" has been renamed "Jean-Pierre".

Agree with the majority here, great episode and a terrific opening battle. This whole show has surprised me big time. Hats off to Lucasfilm fellas. Even the Lemurs (minus their signature "I Like To Move It Movie It song) were pretty good, although I can imagine some Irish people being a tad offended by the stereotyping - although they shouldn't, tis only a fantasy after all.

I can't believe how violent this show is either (and I mean that in a good way)! Dooku really doesn't mind strangling, chopping and generally inflicting pain on creatures of the SW galaxy. GREAT!

One question…who voices Aalya Secura? Is it that French bird from LOST? I should really google this myself but I’m off sick today and was hoping one of you honourable gentleman would come to my aid (i.e. send me a busty nurse to look after me as well as let me know who the voiceover lass is).
