There are now four versions of S01E05. For those wishing to view it quicker, try the {C_P} torrent. :whatevaho:

Good episode. This series is doing a nice job of giving the Clones personality and characterization. Hevy's actions at the end is a great example, I really felt for the trooper. Cool to see Commander Cody again too.

Also liked the some-what more serious Commando Droids which were a nice change of pace from the standard battle droids. Really the only thing that has irked me so far has been the goofy battle droids. I wish the voices sounded more like TPM versions rather than helium filled voices that RotS introduced.

Topeka your efforts are greatly appreciated!

Anyone have preferences for burning these to DVD? I have tried Pinnacle Studio, Easy Media Creator and those results look terrible. I tried Windows Movie Maker and so far it has give me the best results.

is it possible to get it off of a direct tv dvr? if so I record in HD every week. I also have one of those slingbox type things so I may be able to stream the hd signal to my laptop and record it in media center? if anyone knows how I can do this or some suggestions to try I would be glad to get a copy up shortly after it airs every week. I work till 11 so I wouldn't be able to do mush with it until then. I love that Dtv had toon network in HD. One of the main reasons I keep Dtv seeing as how I work for comcast and get it for free.

Considering this episode was 96.4% about the Clones I have to say I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. After last week's masterstroke I thought we were due a dud week but thank Lord Umbutu that I was wrong. A very good show indeed.

Bad ass episode.

This series has exceeded all of my expectations so far. I'm happy I never saw the movie. There's absolutely no bad taste for me.

STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS FOR NOVEMBER

Cartoon Network has released a rundown of the new episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars airing in November.

All episode will air at 9 p.m., preceded by the previous weeks episode at 8:30 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 7: "Downfall of a Droid" -- R2-D2 is lost during a fierce space battle -- and Anakin must find him before the Separatists discover the Jedi military secrets locked in his memory banks.

Friday, Nov. 14: "Duel of the Droids" -- Anakin, Ahsoka and replacement droid R3 embark on a dual rescue/sabotage mission when they discover R2-D2 is being held at General Grievous' secret enemy listening post.

Friday, Nov. 21: "Bombad Jedi" -- Jar Jar Binks is a Jedi Knight? So thinks the Separatists when comically heroic Gungan and C-3PO fight to save Padme Amidala from doom at the hands of evil Viceroy Nute Gunray.

[hr]

Of note - the starwars.com episode guides list 22 chapters for season 1. Episode 6, Downfall of a Droid, won't air until November 7.

I saw the movie and have no bad taste from it -- despite its obvious flaws. Had the episodes that were smushed together for the film been aired during the course of the season, my guess is that most of the complaints would never have been registered. Probably the result of hyped expectations for a "movie" as opposed to a weekly, serial, "kid's cartoon."

I kinda took this as a Halloween-themed episode because of the nighttime setting, lonely cliffside locale, and all the mask-related shenanigans.

Plenty of stuff to admire about the episode: Death Star-like design scheme of the outpost; coarse clone language; surprise attacks by large hole-dwelling eels; the femalien pin-ups and girating fembot holo-broadcast; the uncanny use of the clone helmet by the commando droids; at long last, formidable droid enemies (!!); and the classy fanfare that closes the episode.

Saw the ending from a mile away, but I don't care - that final exchange made up for it!

Happy Halloween, MF.com! :? :chewbacca: :spawnn: :grandma: :spawnskull: :spawn: :venyym: :spiderman: :chainsaw:

Nov. 7th'll be here in no time but the wait 'til Nov. 21st is going to feel like a lifetime!

The thing I am most impressed, or surprised is that they actually show characters get killed. It may not seem like much, but cartoons usually lose edge to the stories because no one ever dies unless it becomes a major part of the story. So no matter what happens you assume all characters will some how make it through ever scrape. this past week 2 clones died though. One was eaten by that giant snake thing and the other sacrificed himself to blow up the droids. I just think stories suffer when not only the good guys always win but they never pay a price doing so.

The writers also deserve credit being able to add a character as important as Anakins padawan. That is a major change to the story and star wars fans aren't usually accepting of a change this big, but it has fit and worked well.

And several more were shot. Not to mention the ones killed on all the spaceships are who got vacuum'd in the Malevolence arc.

Even the film had decapitated heads on display. :)

I agree with a lot that's been said.

I think the series has been very inspired and far better than I thought it would be. I have no idea why it's not getting the love it deserves outside of the fandom.

This series is going to change cartoons as we know 'm these days I think.

And just to think that only the first 100 minutes have been aired, what about the tons of hours yet to come.....
