Episode Brief: Padmé Amidala & C-3PO are taken hostage by Grievous leaving Anakin and Obi-Wan to save the Senator and complete the destruction of The Malevolence.

XviD-SC-SDH is mega-upped. IRC channel {cartoon_palace} and their badly-cropped, poor-bitrate DIVX files have been the first to be publically available. Thus the need to update with better releases and eventually 720p HD!

This was a fitting conclusion to the Malevolence arc, though not as exciting as lask week's chapter. The trains running through the ship were a great centerpiece, and make sense given the ship's vast size. We finally got some Anakin/Obi-Wan action and Grievous was in top form. The animated version really benefits from sound designer Matt Woods' performance. I've become really attached to the battle droid character(s). Altough they carry through with the goofy, slapstick comedy of the prequels, their antics are genuinely funny!

Interestingly, there is at least one difference between the {C_P} standard def and SC-SDH high def broadcasts. Anakin's line "I'll use the Force" as he tells Padme to jump the train is omitted in the HD version.

Whoa This episode was a combination of the beginning of Revenge Of The Sith and the droid factory sequence from Attack Of The Clones - except better. The internal railroad system aboard the Malevolence was a nice touch.

Next week appears to be a clones only episode.

The way Grievous appears before Obi-Wan on the Malevolence?

Overall, great finale. I really enjoyed the thoroughly intercut structure of the episode and the wide variety of action scenes (trains, space battles, droid carnage, stealth, lightsaber duels, booty traps, etc.). A veritable Star Wars schmorgasborg! All the classic characters doing their own thing (no Ashoka!) and then meeting up for that classic point-blank "family shot" at the end that closes most of the films. Admittedly, the ending was really abrupt but I see it as the result of the episode being sooo action-packed, rewarding our patience with the more talky, character-based parts of previous episodes.

I swear some of the banter between Anakin and Obi-Wan, when they're discussing Anakin's plan to dock at the emergency air-lock, was lifted from one of the latter chapters (22?) of the micro-series.

Actually, the exchange I was referring to does occur in Chapter 22 when Anakin introduces his plan to reach a reactor core (?) through a sewer system. Obi-Wan's response in both situations is very similar, the way he sums up the whole plan, emphasizing its brazenness.

This 'Malevolence' trilogy was miles better than the theatrical Clone Wars story. Miles....

We all like to snipe about what's going wrong with the Star Wars universe but credit where credit is due, this was an absolutely first class episode!

The series so far has been splendid and at last I feel surge of happiness in my soul.

The battle droids have already reached tolerance levels.

I think the series, as a whole, has been very strong ... however ... I thought that this episode was a bit of a step down. The Padme plot was pure contrivance and C-3PO's slapstick was as bad as in AOTC (the benefit here, of course, was that in a shorter episode there was less of it). This still had plenty of action and was visually quite impressive. And Grievous and the Battle Droids continue to entertain. But it just wasn't as solid as the other episodes thus far.
