Looks like a cross between his animated version and the standard jedi starfighter.

The action figure AT-TE vehicle, which will debut at next month's Toy Fair 2008, was partially revealed in a online money.cnn.com report. Check "da op" for the screencap. The second screencap I blown-up and filtered from the first cap.

    Brickshelf.com: Lego's AT-TE figs unveiled

    Image

(from left to right : Anakin, Ashoka, Rotta, Captain Rex, Clone Trooper, Battle Droid)

Not a very clear picture, but at least, we have more info about some new characters from The Clone Wars:

    • Captain Rex is a clone trooper (he seems to be the one on the promotional poster from C4). Also, Hasbro will offer him when buying a Fans' choice Saga Legends figure (*see below)

    • Rotta is a little green thing, maybe a baby Hutt (we already saw Jabba's Palace on an official webdoc)

    • we can see how Ashoka will look like!

So were those early spoilers about the pilot involving Jabba's son right on?

I was thinking more like Slimer from the Ghostbusters, pre-death of course. Pokemon-speak does sound a bit like Huttese, though.

Basically a pre-ghost version of Slimer. Yeah it would be terribly silly.

My first inital reaction that the little Huttling was going to be a sidekick but that is not the case. The site below confirmed the previous spy report stating that the the first three episodes are going to deal with Jabba's son-nephew getting kidnapped with Anakin and Ahsoka sent to retrieve Rotta.

    http://www.jedinews.co.uk/features/feature.aspx?featureID=6

Rotta is Jabba the Hutt’s nephew or son (there seemed to be some confusion about this) and the first 2 or 3 episodes centre on his kidnapping!

In other news, it appears that the realistic Cartoon Network Clone Wars wave has been pushed back to this fall. Which gives us six-months of collecting the Revenge of the Sith 2008 wave and The Force Unleashed Wave.

    EXCERPT:

This July, as the world breathlessly awaits the release of the new CG animated Clone Wars series, fans and collectors will get an eyeful of all-new packaging for scores of Clone Wars products soon to be lining store shelves.

Pilot, the packaging design firm who recently pulled off the amazing looks for both the 30th anniversary and collector series of Star Wars products as well as the soon-to-be-released Indiana Jones line, has conjured up a stunning, fresh look for Clone Wars that brings the Clone Army color of choice - white - to the front line.

Collectors will also be quick to notice that the new packaging clearly brands the line as "Star Wars" rather than "Clone Wars". Howard Roffman explains:

"We've stuck to a very clear branding strategy for the past decade. This is Star Wars. Individual movies come and go, as do TV shows, video games, books. They all contribute to the lore of Star Wars, but in the end it is one saga and that saga is called Star Wars. We've wanted to send a clear message to our fans that everything we do is part of that overall saga."

Look for the new Clone Wars packaging designs to hit store shelves on July 26.

    RE: Wave IV 2008

    Image

Not sure when Wave IV is coming out or that we need another ROTJ Drummer but Deleted Scenes Action Figgas :heavymetal:

In other news in addtion to the AT-TE a newer model Millennium Falcon is in the works. So you should do what I did and get rid of your old models (that come with loose panels) and make room for this newer and larger behemoth. Some dimensions from RS.com's Europe Division

    2008 Millennium Falcon : 80 centimeters = 2.62467192 feet or 31.496063 inches
    2008 AT-TE : 70 centimeters = 2.29658793 feet or 27.5590551 inches

JediDefender.com Toy Fair 2008 Preview Rumor Report

    • AT-TE: The vehicle is indeed "huge", as we caught a glimpse of in the CNN video. It will feature a motorized troop deployment door though, and electronic sounds as well! If other rumors hold true, this vehicle could very well be to-scale to the figures!

    • AT-TE Part II: The AT-TE's troop door mechanism will actually be 3 troop doors that open simultaneously. The walker holds 20 Clone Troopers as well, and will have not just sound, but lights also. Cost in the U.S. should be between $100 and $120. Again, our sources stressed it is "really big!" to us as well.

    • New Clone Wars Figures: The new line is indeed going to be animated... sort of. The figures will be a mix of animated and realistic styling, with the heads looking more like their 3-D animation counterparts, while their bodies will look more realistic. The animated styling seemed more "overall" on the battledroid figure however, and not just the head. The figures may be akin to the Obi-Wan in Armor figure recently pictured in Previews, where the head had a noticeable difference in sculpting to it.

    • New Clone Wars Figures Part II: The Clone Wars Figures look to be proportioned and articulated to the standards of the basic line. Lots of super articulation, nice sculpts, just that the heads are in the "animated style" compared to the more realistic sculpts (as noted above). However, this could leave Hasbro the opportunity to simply put new, realistic heads onto these figures as a way of capitalizing on fans of both styles as well. Jedi seem to come with Clone Armor attachment accessories. People who dislike action features will also be pleased to hear that there are no features on these figures so far!

    • Droid Build-A-Figure Promo: The Build-A-Droid promotion will feature mostly Astromech and Protocol droids, possibly leaving a wide variety of the droids open for kids and collectors to create!

    • Clone Trooper Helmet: This Role-Play Toy is going to have something extra to it. The word is that there may be a holographic projection feature that works with the visor. Could kids have the Emperor send Order 66 sent to them?

    • Wave IV Return of the Jedi: Figures look outstanding and the rumor lists are holding true. Figure quality seems to be holding up to 2007's standards, and Yarna looks very ornate and colorful, which should make her fans very happy!

I'm really looking forward to some of the Clone Wars figures it doesn't bother me too much about the "animated" style of the heads, because I'll just swap the "real" ones I already have with the animated ones if they'll fit. I've got enough Obi-wans to fill a small crate, so there will be plenty of spare heads for me to swap out!

I'm looking forward to some of the Force Unleashed stuff as well. Should be a good year for StarWars figures, which makes a change, end of 07 was pretty impressive. Wouldn't mind another version of Cody though, an articulated one at least.

A kidnapped Huttling? Wow, I can almost picture the opening crawl now...

[marq=up][align=center]Anakin Skywalker has returned to his home
planet of Tatooine in an attempt to rescue his
friend Rotta the Hutt from the clutches of the
    vile gangsters of the CIS.

Little does Anakin know that the Hutts will turn
out to be a load of bad eggs in future episodes...
