I wonder, we've seen the Video-Game damaged Vader action figure, and Vader's on the poster at the top by that announcement. Yoda, obiously animated in an Animated-series announcement. Does that mean that Boba Fett is going to play heavily into the 2009 live-action series, based on his placement on that promo?

I hope so, but I guess it's a little hard to make that jump based soley on a poster. Either way, Yoda looks decent. Can't wait.

Well, we've had rumors about a bounty hunter in the Live Action Series. And we've heard rumors about Fett. Now, putting two and two together, it does appear like Fett's gonna be in it. Or at least that's what I hope. Hopefully, that'll make them ****** Young Boba Fett novels go Infinities.

Yes, the new Yoda looks like a CG rendition of Yoda from Clone Wars, but slightly less silly looking.

As for Boba Fett being in the live action show...didn't see that one coming.

Just one word: YES!!!

Based on that picture, and what's been said, I definitely think it's gonna be a Boba series. And what an excellent choice!!! One of the few classic characters they coul use, both to get the classic SW feel and get a great opportunity to tell great Star Wars stories. I really don't see how it can go wrong!

I went out Saturday night and awoke Sunday afternoon to this. :heavymetal:

GalacticHunter.com kicked all sorts of ass during the run-up to Revenge of the Sith and they come through again. Here even more high quality shots from WizardUniverse.com

ImageImage

Although pictured, it's quite possible that Boba Fett is not in the 2009 Live Action series and LucasFilm is just using him as a promotional tool since it has been said that the Live-Action Series is going to be background character oriented i.e. Bounty Hunters, Tie-Fighter Pilots, and X-Wing Pilots.

Whats funny is Starwars.com omitted the 2009 part in their banner. :XD:

Yeah, I was wondering why the OS cut that part out...

I'm guessing the live action show is still pretty far away. GL is going to be busy with Indy 4 until next year (he doesn't direct 'em, but he hangs out on set and on location during shooting of Indy flicks - and you can bet your ass he's going to be supervising whatever work ILM does), and he seems to have been working on Clone Wars until now. Plus, you just know he has been busy adding and re-editing all six SW films for the inevitable anniversary box set. Not much time to have been developing a live action TV series, especially if he really meant it when he said he was going to be working on scripts. My guess is we wont see the live action show until at least 2010.

My guess is they just threw a Boba Fett helmet out there just to put something in the poster, and the OS is just covering their ass as they usually do. We'll see.

I don't have my heart set on a Fett in the TV series. I do hope they show some of the more unsavory characters however, like star-whores and some violence (space and air/sea/land combat). Or at least, considering the timeline, I hope not everyone gets a happy ending.

Yoda looks cool but I'm having a hard time getting excited for the 3DCW show. As for Fett headlining the live action... please. No.

I'd like to think we would have something more than a Boba Fett series. I'd rather center on Stormtroopers. I guess Jimmy smits will be on it...he is a true TV whore.

I would watch a Boba Fett series. I think it would completely kick ass. I don't think that's what we're going to get, though. Whatever it is, I'm going to watch it until it sucks. And then I will watch it secretly.

I'm not sure you can totally base a whole show around Fett.

He's cool to be sure, but he's not exactly multi-dimensional.

Episodes are referred to as Chapters. Before it was taken down, Anthony Daniels on his website mentioned he just finished recording a episode entitled: Chapter 11 - Destroy Malevolence.

Some have commented that the image of Clone Wars 3D Yoda from Toy Fair 2007 is a super version of Genndy Tartakovsky's micro-series. Since Clone Wars 3D is going to be a 30-minute broadcast, there could be be more polishing to the 3D CGI designs and more depth to the stories.

Can't wait to see how Amidala and Grievous are rendered.

Malevolence sounds like a ship name. Hopefully it's an Executor-lite for the CIS that has to be destroyed in one of the episodes. :)

To be utterly shallow and superficial, so long as my girl, Aalya is in it, I'm good.....I can go for a Shaak Ti as well.

I wonder if they'll all be "mission" type stories or if there will be additional Anakin/Amidala time as well...
