According to the panel (I missed the panel but talked to those who saw it), the series will span the entire Clone Wars era, which means the characters will evolve. Anakin will have his full on ROTS look as well as the clone troopers.

I as a fan am interested in any time period. I think there should be enough going on that I can enjoy these characters. This was the time of the most of the battles took place and there were the most jedi. Come on.

I wasn't trying to be negative about the time period chosen for this series, just curious about the choice. I'm very much looking forward to seeing this, even though I despised the Clone Wars cartoons.

Maybe if this is successful enough (which it certainly will be), then perhaps Lucas will do a series about the Sith vs. the Jedi from thousands of years earlier? Maybe not... :monocle:

Fox told me this last night that the Celebration IV Clone Wars panel indicated the Clone Wars 3D series will span and feature the style of the Episode II and Episode III era.

Which means Revenge Of The Sith style Clone Troopers and Jedi Star Fighters are a coming. Presumabley Galactic Marines, Airborne Troopers, and Clone Commanders also. :heavymetal:

All to expand the all mighty line of 3 and 3/4" figure line. :) Considering I have 30 individual clone troopers sitting in front of my monitor at work, my pocket book will hurt a bit.

Either way, I'm stoked about it, I can deal with both.

While I'm here, if anyone's feeling bored and want to make me an animated gif of Ventress choking the ARC trooper, I'd be thrilled. Thx in advance.

...actually thats a good point, if anything this series will all-but-secure me getting an Obi-Wan 'in clone trooper armour' figure finally.

Bring it ON!

First post so…

I may be out of touch with all this EU stuff but isn’t Assaj Ventress wielding a double bladed lightsabre in the trailer? Perhaps one of Mr Maul’s backup lightsabres, given to her in a rather attractive presentation box by a fella in a dark robe?

Can someone more informed clarify this?

Thanks,

If you watch the Clone Wars cartoon, you will see who gives her her lightsabers, which like V-16 said can be attached as one or used as two separate ones, which I think she may prefer in combat, but when battling Stormtroopers, and using the force, it's her choice, and a good one, to have them combined.

Wonder if they'll get any good voice talent for the cartoon then.

Official site just listed two known (well known in the sciFi community) actors to do voicework for The Force Unleashed game...lets hope they get some decent voice people for this as well.

TFU Voice Cast

Thanks TTT! I need to sort my EU knowledge out, as a punishment to myself I’ll climb into the freezer (non carbon I’m afraid) and ponder my weaknesses, I should be in there a while.

Generally the voices in the Clone Wars cartoons were pretty reasonable. Although I’m worried that they’ll bodge it up for 3D action and give Obi Wan a voice like the late Barry White and Padme, the dulcet tones of er…Joan Rivers. Wrrrrrr…shiver me’ timbers. On a more positive note, Anakin, does sound a tad like Hayden and we’ve also got Oz and Daniels on board our computer generated starship. It can’t fail, can it?

I have seen reports of either/both the animated series and the live action series being 100 episodes in length. I have to believe LFL has already mapped out the number of episodes for at least the animated series at this point.

I was under the impression the live action series would be 100 episodes, each an hour long. (with commercials).

The 3D Clone Wars I hadn't heard of until recently and have no idea, although some have mentioned they will be 22min in length minus commercials. Just wasn't sure exactly how many they are making.

*shrugs* The trailer is nice, sure it's eyecandy, but it doesn't quite "wow" me. I think it's silly to CGIze the Clone Wars Cartoons. What I was hoping they would do is follow in the footsteps of the Starship Troopers Chronicles series. Now that was a kick-ass series waay ahead of its time. :)

In the C4 Clone Wars Seminar I was at (2nd of 3) they did say that Matt Wood has done the Greivous voice

As has Anthony Daniels w/ 3po

It will interesting to see if anything new is shown at C-Europe, the Clone War panels (over there) will be expanding in info

Question: I assume that when Lucas does this TV show, The Clone Wars, you’re going to be involved in that.

Oz: People have said that. I think they’ve read IMDB, which you should never believe, and they said I’m involved. I have no idea even what it is. I have no concept of what it is.
