My god, he's actually doing it. I'm kinda sad, because Smith hasn't produced anything quality since his Daredevil run (most of his Green Arrow run was predictable, but enjoyable). Also unfortunate, this will be live action. Something tells me it won't retain the charm of the first film, and probably won't be nearly as entertaining as the animated series.

Oh well, I'd love to be wrong about this.

I disagree, Chasing Amy was pretty good, and the rest are entertaining enough.

Can't say any good words for Jersey Girl though.

I disagree.

I think all of his movies are bad.

I haven't even approached wanted to seeing Jersey Girl.

All of his other stuff, I love though, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back to a lesser degree --- not a terribly huge fan of the big dick and fart joke extravaganzas. The cartoon was great though.

His best movies are Clerks and Chasing Amy, imo. I can't wait to see Clerks 2, especially if its a return to his "roots."

Mallrats and Clerks are my 2 favorites. The rest are good too, aside from Jersey Girl...

Spawn is dead already though and he has the forces of Helll behind him... the discussion comes down to which is more powerful, the sun or hell ?

I guess maybe it is more the delivery I am talking about. It seems unnatural. I know they are actors reading lines from a script but it shouldn't come across that way.

if it comes off as if they are reading from a script it's SHIT ACTING

I think Kevin's early films were the best... Chasing Amy probably on top only because it delt with the most dramatic subject out of the three (between clerks and mallrats)...

But come on... Dogma had its funny parts, and Smith wasn't going for any of the first 3 films feel with JaSB... that had all sorts of celebs, and was funnier than hell...

To quote Office Space... "I celebrate the guy's entire collection."

i will override you all and say

kevin smith is a god!

also, i don't see you guys out making movies. clerks was wicked low budget, but it was great. goes to show not everything is about explosions and breasts [altho, every good movie should have a good pair].

Hmmm... weird it hasn't been posted before, but an official Trailer for Clerks II has long been released, plus a short clip from the movie, and an online exclusive trailer, that is way better than the "official" one, imho.

they've finally arrived[/font]

I can say all this stuff is frickin' cool.... especially the "Danger, danger. My name is Anakin. My shitty acting is ruining saga."-part and the Silence of the Lambs hommage with Q Lazzarus's Goodbye Horses are hilarious :) - and Rosario Dawson dancing in that tanktop to King Diamond's Welcome Home is just great, too...
