Here is an excerpt from diamonddead.com re the status of Romero's 4th flick in his DEAD series. Seems George may have the finances he needs to get this potential gem off the ground. :heavymetal:

There was a flurry of activity during the past week. We have our financing together, and have one of the leads. At the same time, George’s other project, “Dead Reckoning” has also possibly come together, and we have been discussing on a daily basis, which should go first. One could start in October, the other, next spring. This is quite complicated, as it has some bearing on our financing, and we hope to sort it out during the next week. I am very happy for George. Will keep you posted.

Depending on which gets greenlighted first (diamond dead or DR) it could start production as early as October, if not later next year sometime.

The living have barricaded themselves in their own cities (ivory towers) and have so far ignored the "problem" of the dead. Trouble is living beings need shit to survive and this means going outside their security zones to get it. Hence the Dead Reckoning - a truck/tank/zombie emulsifer.

Like all Romero zombie movies, just when the characters/audience think their safe and have solved the problems, the shit starts to hit the fan in a big way.

Apparently Romero will get a budget of 17mil to do this flick. :chewbacca:

Romero's website has some pretty glowing things to say about the whole production.
