Looks like a good one. I've never seen Elizabeth, so I may need to watch it pretty soon.

You didn't take history in high school :P

From what the director says, these movies aren't even trying to be historically accurate. They're made up to feel very mythical, Shakespearean in the way the struggles for power are presented. Many people say, that Elizabeth's rise as a queen and her maturing through following events in the way it was presented in the first movie was very much in the vein of Michael Corleone's story.
