I just saw this and liked it. It's certainly not as classic as the first one, with moments of extreme humor interspersed with a lot of duller chat. Kevin Smith seemed to have gone for a lot of shock value in this one as well. But his nod to the fan-war between Star Wars and LOTR was terrific. So was his portrayal of Dante and Randal ten years later. I thought it was enjoyable and a fitting follow-up to Clerks.
