Well I didn't really know where to post this but I thought someone would get a kick out the menus created for the new Spaceballs: Collector's Edition DVD

The DVD has multiple menus and were made to mimic the Star Wars DVDs and they turned out quite nice:

I think this project was just Mel Brooks hype.

Haven't heard anything about it since about a year before the EP3 release. :-(

And I've read interviews where people have asked Mel about History of the World Part II. He simply says he doesnt do sequels.

I doubt you'll see any Spaceballs sequel...or prequel.

Which is just as well. A year and a half ago I rented the DVD out of nostalgia, and it wasnt anywhere near as good as I remembered it. Quite terrible actually.

Much as I love some of Mels work, everything he made from the mid-80s was just the same jokes repeated from movie to movie. Better off leaving them in the past.

I don't think a sequel is coming, he's working on a musical of Young Frankenstein.
