First reactions from the press screening have been pretty positive but the more interesting tidbit to come out of the screening is that there will be FIVE post credit scenes! Initial tweets all said four but James Gunn then confirmed five so maybe one was held back from the press screening. James Gunn also confirmed via his facebook that he will indeed be returning to write and direct GotG Vol.3!

I saw this the other night. I'm a huge fan of the original but my first impressions are it's just as good. Maybe I need to see it a few more times to see where it lands but it's a real blast.

As far as post credit scenes go there were at least 4. Most are similar in style to the Drax/Dancing Groot scene i.e they could have taken place within the context of the film.

The one that hinted to GOTG Vol.3 involved Adam Warlock
.

As is often the case the first one was better. Didn't really break a whole lot of new ground as the first and the plot was paper thin. Pacing dragged at times. Overall it's still a fun romp. Lots of nice character moments even though there were many scenes of them just standing around arguing. You did get the sense of family and comradery among the group which is what Gunn was going for.

I agree. It was a good time at the movies but wasn't nearly as entertaining or tight a film as the first. I also had the feeling throughout that they were constantly pushing for forced laughs, which took me out of the movie a little. I also think the action is a little too incomprehensible. Just way too much shit going on at once with CG overload.

Probably sits somewhere above the middle of the pack of Marvel movies for me. I'm trying to decide if it's better than Age of Ultron; that's the class I have it in right now.
