AUTOBOTS
(Returning characters)
Optimus Prime Alt Mode: Peterbilt semi-truck. Toy Bio: With the destruction of MEGATRON, OPTIMUS PRIME thought he was finally, after millions of years, at peace. Little did he know that the escape of STARSCREAM would draw dozens of new DECEPTICONS to Earth. The desire that burns brightest in his Spark is that the war will soon end. He is determined to see that end come, and so he works with his human comrades and the other AUTOBOTS to hunt the DECEPTICONS that have come to Earth, and destroy them, one by one. Jetfire Alt mode: SR-71 Blackbird jet. Toy Bio: Jetfire grew tired of war a long time ago. The reckless ambition of the Decepticons, and the senseless violence of their war sickened him, and so he left Cybertron to go into hiding. The form he eventually chose on Earth seemed appropriate for one who wished to remain unseen. He slumbered in peace for years. Now, reawakened by the arrival of the war on Earth, he decides once again to enter the fight - this time on the side of the Autobots, and this time to end it for good, whatever the cost. Sideswipe Alt Mode: Concept Corvette Stingray. Toy Bio: Sideswipe was built to fight. He is sleek, fast, and accomplished in battle. Focusing on his enemies with absolute attention, his blades are a shining blur as he leaps through the air, twisting to avoid enemy fire. Arcee Alt Mode: MV Agusta Motorcycle (pink) Notes: In the film, she is apparently all three bikes with a singular personality. The toys have three separate names/personality bios. Toy Bio: ARCEE jumped at the chance to join up with IRONHIDE and the other DECEPTICON hunters on Earth. She proved such an effective warrior that she was quickly give command of her own strike team, made up of robots similar to her in attitude and design. Together with the AUTOBOTS she leads, she stalks the DECEPTICONS in silence, creeping close enough to look them in the optics before she strikes. Chromia Alt Mode: MV Agusta Motorcycle. (blue) Toy Bio: CHROMIA is as tough as nails, and always spoiling for a fight. She's been friends with IRONHIDE for centuries, and their reunion on Earth was one of the high points of the war for both of them. Now they ???? side by side, hunting and destroying DECEPTICONS. Neither of them has ever been happier. The two robots make great partners, and she, along with her sisters, are an invaluable part of the team. Skids & Mudflap Alt Modes: Chevy Beat & Chevy Trax. Skids Toy Bio: Because he is slightly less hyperactive than his brother MUDFLAP, AUTOBOT SKIDS has always thought of himself as "the smart one." He likes to point this out at every opportunity. While MUDFLAP zips around like a maniac, AUTOBOT SKIDS prefers to impress his superiors among the AUTOBOT high command by behaving in a way he thinks of as mature, which usually involves talking nonstop about anything that occurs to him. Mudflap Toy Bio: Young and eager, MUDFLAP has wanted to be a full-fledged warrior under the command of OPTIMUS PRIME for as long as he can remember. He and his twin brother AUTOBOT SKIDS traveled for years to Earth, just in the hopes of joining up with their idols. Being on Earth with OPTIMUS PRIME and the other heroes of the Great War is a dream come true. Jolt Alt Mode: Chevy Volt. Toy Bio: JOLT loves to cause trouble. More than one group of DECEPTICONS has watched in confusion as JOLT, all alone, raced around them in circles, taunting them. They're not used to AUTOBOTS acting crazy. Little do they know that it really is just an act - part of a plan to lure his enemies in close where he can deliver a crippling blow with his electro-whips. DECEPTICONS(Returning characters)
Megatron Alt Mode: Cybertronian tank. Toy Bio: Rebuilt with parts cannibalized from other Decepticons, Megatron rises once again to lead his army. Though the AllSpark destroyed him once, he can now feel its power coursing through his circuitry. It calls him to seize his rightful place as ruler over the puny planet which on he was imprisoned and destroyed, and from which he will launch his conquest of the universe. Optimus Prime is all that stands in the way of victory, and the Autobot leader has done a poor job of hiding himself. At long last, Megatron knows exactly where his enemy is, and he has enough power to destroy him. CG Promo 1 CG Promo 2 CG Promo 3 CG Promo 4
Starscream Alt Mode: F-22 Raptor. Now has Cybertronian style heiroglyphics tatooed on his body. Toy Bio: The moment his sensor net registered Megatron going offline, Starscream knew the battle was over, and the Allspark lost. He converted to vehicle mode and boosted for outer space, hoping to buy enough time to rally the Decepticon survivors. Returning from Cybertron bearing the marks won during his reign over the Decepticon army, he is focused on conquest. With a new army behind him, he has the strength to pursue his own goals, and perhaps, when the time is right, bring Megatron back. Scorponok Seen in the extended teaser trailer attacking Jetfire. (New Characters)
The Fallen Alt Mode: Cybertronian spaceship. Toy Bio: For millennia, he has waited. Thousands of years have dragged by as he recruited proxies, one by one, to scour the cosmos for the artifact he required. Now he finds he must return to the primitive, flesh-slug infected planet on which his quest began. Nothing will stand in his way this time. If need be, he will scour the surface of this disgusting world clean in the fire of his rage, and search through the blasted rubble for that which he seeks. Soundwave Alt Mode: Cybertronian style Satellite. Toy Bio: Stationed in orbit above Earth, Soundwave swiftly taps into every satellite within range. Within minutes, communications, data traffic, weather information, and high-resolution spy photography flood his sensor net. The spill of data fills him with pleasure, and one by one, the humans' systems come under his complete control. From his seat on high, he is in a position to control the destiny of mankind without their knowledge... or to run their civilization into the ground. Ravage Alt mode: Cybertronian styled re-entry mode similar to the "comet" protoform modes seen in the first film. Toy Bio: Bulleting down through the atmosphere at better than 15 times the speed of sound, RAVAGE considers the data he has already amassed on the small, soft creatures that inhabit this planet. They seem weak and fragile, yet they are the ones that destroyed MEGATRON. That is a fact he will keep in mind as he penetrates their most sensitive installation. Against such an unpredictable enemy, stealth will be his watchword. Deluxe toy - Panther mode Deluxe toy - Re-Entry mode CG Promo 1 CG Promo 2
Sideways Alt Mode: Audi R8 Toy Bio: Back on CYBERTRON, SIDEWAYS was a simple courier who avoided combat at all costs. He tried to always remain in the shadow of larger DECEPTICONS, where the AUTOBOTS might not notice him. On Earth, he's keeping much the same practice. He teamed up with DEMOLISHOR early on, and hopes that if the AUTOBOTS find them, the big CONSTRUCTICON can keep him safe. CG Render - Robot Mode
Grindor Alt Mode: Pave Low Helicopter. Notes: Is not Blackout revived. Instead they are reusing the CG model for a new character. Seen with Starscream & Megatron battling Optimus in the ShoWest and Theatrical trailers. Toy Bio: GRINDOR is a born soldier. He is both a highly talented fighter, and an instinctive strategist. Every moment of a battle is laid out in his head before the first shot is ever fired. He is so talented at anticipating his enemy's moves that he is almost never surprised. Whenever he can, he ensures himself a place at the direct center of a fight so that he can bring his powerful weaponry to bear on the AUTOBOTS around him, destroying as many as he can as quickly as possible.
Alice Is a "Pretender", a transformer using a human shell as a disguise. The inner robot is best described as a hybrid of the Frenzy robot design from the first movie. The Pretender Transformer will have an arm that transforms into an energy weapon, a long tongue, and a scanning tenticle. Actress Isabel Lucas plays the part of the human disguise. On set robot prop
Wheelie Alt Mode: Remote control toy truck. Toy Bio: Autobot Wheelie never really wanted to be a Decepticon. It's just that, when people start yelling at him, he tends to do whatever they say. He's easily startled, and simple to scare. His tiny size makes him an ideal spy, and even though he doesn't like or agree with the Decepticons, they scare him so much he doesn't know what to do except obey. Toy card & bio
Scalpel aka The Doctor Alt mode: Microscope Toy Bio: Scalpel has a massive database of anatomical data for millions of creatures across the universe. He can disassemble anything that doesn't struggle too much in a matter of minutes, and usually puts it back together with only a few parts in the wrong place. He serves as medic to the Decepticon army, but most Decepticons prefer to suffer in silence than allow Scalpel to work on them.
Demolishor Alt Mode: Terex RH400 Excavator Toy Bio: DEMOLISHOR isn't very bright, but he knows when to fight, and when to run and hide. Arriving on Earth to find Megatron destroyed, hiding seemed like the best option. Since then, he's taken a few smaller Decepticons under his protection, and built quite a little community. It hasn't been easy hiding among the humans that creep like a disease over this planet, but he and his companions are content until a new Decepticon leader emerges to guide them back to glory. The Constructicons include:
Scavenger (Torso component.) Alt Mode: Terex RH400 Excavator Notes: Same body type/model as Demolishor but is red with white letters/stripes on the excavator mode.
Long Haul (Right leg component.) Alt Mode: Caterpillar 773B Dump Truck Toy Bio: LONG HAUL is too bitter to be an effective soldier on his own. Despite the fact that he is part of one of the most destructive and terrifying DECEPTICON squads of all time, he is too often treated as little more than a cargo hauler. Other DECEPTICONS sling their gear into his bed without a second thought, and order him to carry it around for them. Rather than confront them, he'd rather grumble about it privately, then stop on the way to destroy whatever he's been given responsibility for. Concept art Concept art - larger CG model
Mix Master (Head/Torso component.) Alt Mode: Mack Cement Mixer Toy Bio: Resident chemist and explosives expert for the elite among the DECEPTICONS, MIXMASTER has spent his entire life learning all there is to know about chemical interaction. He can make thousands of poisons, explosives and deadly gasses from the materials around him. The other DECEPTICONS rely on him to fashion powerful warheads for their missiles, and dangerous venoms in which to coat their blades. Voyager Class toy - Robot mode Voyager class toy - truck mode Concept Art
Rampage (Left leg component.) Alt Mode: Caterpillar D9L Bulldozer Toy Bio: The stink of diesel fumes and hot tar follows RAMPAGE wherever he goes. His treads are packed with metal shards stripped from his victims and the countless scratches covering his chassis are testament to hundreds of brutal battles. He lives to pound his enemies into submission and thinks of little else. His idea of beauty is the sun glinting off the raw edges of shredded Autobot armor. Notes: There is another robot using the same CG model as Rampage but is red and does not form part of Devastator. He is seen fighting Bumblebee in the trailers. Concept Art
