I managed to be lucky enough to be invited to a press screening at VUE in Leicester Square this morning. One word, AWESOME. This movie makes ESB look like happy happy joy joy.

It has its faults, but on the whole, I was absolutely over the moon with joy by the end of the movie. Great Stuff, and the end of an era...

well not quite, ive got tickets to go to the marathon a week tommorrow, and booked on the first showing on the 19th.

This will be a day long remembered - this one is the one which the sheep have been waiting for :D

Just out of curiousity do know if there were any journalists/reviewers from Empire Magazine present? And if so how did they react?

Mint,

Were you completely spoiled before you saw the movie?

I feel as though I have already seen the movie, I have been that spoiled. It would be great to hear from someone else who also kept up with all of the spoilers and has seen the movie, whether the movie still absolutely blows you away.

I am just afraid that while I sit watching ROTS I will be thinking to myself "Crap, this would have been so much better if I didn't know where this was going".

In the opening space battle, is there any kind of "trench run" as an homage to ANH? The screenplay talks about it.

Did the music after the opening crawl sound just as it does on the soundtrack?

I think it's great that you both saw and enjoyed the movie, but i wonder if it's necessary to have a thread every time someone sees it. An official reaction thread is needed perhaps?

Common sense is a dying artform. Tell that to the woman who has the gall to sue after she tries to drive with a hot fucking cup of coffee between her legs and then takes McDonalds to court after she spills it and burns herself. Not that i'm a McDonalds fan i just can't stand compensation culture. /Rant over back on topic.
