I thought it would be a good idea to put up a thread for ROTS questions to be asked in, which can be answered by those who have seen it.

So fire away with the questions..

Describe Obi-Wan's reaction to seeing Anakin on the hologram security cameras--we've heard conflicting reports regarding how devastated he is, or whether he's just pissed and in denial of it all.

Thanks.

After the scene in which Anakin crashlands the Invisible Hand on Coruscant, I'm assuming that Padme telling him she is pregnant is next. What comes after that though? And then after that? Thanks. I don't need an in-depth description, just what scene is there.

Do one of the Jedi mention that Palpatine gained too much power?

I remember the scene where Obi-wan says: "Master Quinlan-Vos has moved his troops to Bross Pity", and then about Palpatine gaining new powers from Senate, is it in?

Does Padme put the janipor snippet in Obi-Wan's hand, when she's dying, like it was in the screenplay? And if so, what's Obi-Wan's reaction?

I think this kind of a symbolic gesture would be a bit over the top for a Star Wars movie.

he is obviously in complete shock - i wouldnt say angry - more disappointed. he instantly tells yoda he will NOT kill Anakin, in no uncertain terms..

It is mentioned before they realise he is the sith lord, yes. This is why the jedi want him spied on. the want to know his motives for constantly granting himself new powers. The scene where obi wan mentions "Master Vos on Bos Pity" is in.

Remember ive only seen it once, once anakin leaves the ship and says goodbye to obi wan, padme is there waiting for him. the obviously havent seen each other for a long time, and padme tells him she's pregnant and worries about it. Anakin says its the happiest time of his life..sorry, cant remember what comes straightafter, only seen it once.

could you please explain the Jedi's deaths onscreen, and how they are taken out :

Saesee Tiin ? (in the novel it says decapitation)
Agen Kolar ? (in the novel its through the forehead)
Kit Fisto ? (in the novel its decapitation)

- do they last long in the fight ?

and are the deaths of Luminara Undulli, Barriss Offee and Stass Allie shown onscreen ?

does Ki Adi Mundi and Aayla Secura put up a fight ?

Thanks HEAPS in advance !!

The three jedi in palps office which you mention first, are all killed generically really, you dont see much, certainly no rolling heads, unfortunately, i remember noticing there was no decaps. The only one to put up any real fight was mace, obviously.

Ki adi and Aayla are killed easily by the stormtroopers, aayla seems to take more than her fair share of a barrage of blaster fire. even when shes down.

the three you mention before in dont think are shown on screen.

plo koon is killed piloting a jedi starfighter, that one was quite cool actually - he was blown to pieces lol.

Oooh, thanks for the reply !!

a few more :

there was a scene shot with Anakin behind Shaak Ti meditating in her chamber - did this make the film, and do we see her killed ?

and Kit Fisto - is he sliced in half ?

sorry about the grim questions, but as a fan of the Jedi - i MUST know ! LOL !

No, the Shaak Ti/Anakin scene didnt make the cut. you dont see how kit fisto is killed really - palps is sooo fucking fast its just a swipe and he's dead.

its about as long as the mace/yoda fight if my mind serves me correctly.

the fight is intercut with a scene of Anakin waiting, and then getting in a ship over to the chancellors office, where he chops off mace's forearm.

Anakins reaction immediately after Mace's death is excellent.

I wanted to know when Obi-Wan confronts Grevious on Uptapu, does he pwn every single droid we see in the trailers? Or just the mangaguard's?

Sorry, if this has been cleared up, but others say different -

Is Qui-Gon there at all? As in, do we even hear his voice????

Thanks!

Does Yoda mention specificaly that there had to be something wrong with the Jedi and their way of thinking if they were fucked up so easily by the Sith?

Or at least "Still much to learn there is" or anything in that spirit.

Obi uses the Force on the guards to drop shit on them. The Grevious tells the rest of the droids to back off, and goes on to take Obi on hisself.

Yoda does make the comment about possibly misreading the prophecy, but near the end comments on how he feels he has failed. This is after the Jedi are all greased.

When Anakin kills the separatists, is it just one big scene, or are the slayings intercut with another scene/event?

Unfortunately not. This was the most awful omission imho. That scene would have beenawesome. i can only hope he adds it back in (as the dagobah scene is rumoured to be back in on the digital print for the 19th)

If it's not in, it's likely to be that Neeson didn't do it, rather than George omitting it.

Oh and slapstick R2, how much and what?

is yoda still wrapped up as a jedi baby and obiwan trying to smuggle him out of the jedi temple and yoda does his one liners and goes ballistic on the troopers?

also when Anikan/Darth arrives to kill the seperatists does he still say his lines to the trade federatrion etc

"master Sidious said we would be left in peace", No he said you would be left in pieces etc

no offence mate - but i was hoping we could keep this thread to fact, rather than speculation on why things are like they are.

this is the least humourous of the movies. R2's antics are pretty much nothing. it is noted that the Super Battle Droid who in the trivial pursuit clip says "dont move dummy" now simply says "dont move"

No 'Boss' those lines were in the novel only. I can tell you that without having seen the film. And Mint R2 slapstick?

EDIT: Mint, no offence meant, but you were saying it was an awful 'omission', which of course isn't an omission if the scene could never be filmed in the first place. So you were speculating that it was omitted and i was speculating that it wasn't because it couldn't be filmed. If you see where i'm coming from. I'm not looking to start a Qui-Gon debate in this thread so i'll shut up now!

yeah those lines dont show up. nor does the yoda scene as a baby.

EDIT: robbie NP mate i meant ommission from the script. - just dont want this whole thread to turn in to a WHY thread so it all flies off topic.

It's not too bad. A little distracting/disrupting to the action on the Invisible Hand, but not nearly to the level of 3PO in the Droid factory on Geonosis.

Good that was my main worry. What about the Super Battle Droid voices? How often do they speak, when in the movie do we hear them and are they as squeaky as in the Trivial Pursuit clips?

yeah the battle droids all seem to have taken some helium i have to say. like i said before the line "dont move dummy" is changed to "dont move" which is a lot better.
