After reading some depressing reports about crew dissatifaction on the set of e3 and in skywalker ranch I decided to get a feel for how people think episode 3 will turn out. Personally I am very excited for this new movie. I liked TPM and love AoTC even with it's niggles. I'm expecting episode 3 to be the best episode of the PT so far. What's your take on how e3 will turn out?

Bad news rumors spread quickly. I'm sure it will be on CNN soon. ;)

I'd suspect anyone bothering to check out this site is more than likely a fan of Star Wars, and expects to enjoy Episode 3. :whateva:

On the topic of negative/postive reports from crew members on Episode III, I was reminded of a quote by John Landis when he was on the IFC show Dinner for Five (and I'm paraphrasing here): "I've worked on films that were lovefests and everyone got a long with each other that turned out terribly, and I've worked on films where everyone hated each other that went on to become big hits." Just goes to show you that you really can't gauge whether or not a film will be good based on a few preliminary sour grapes (or even gushingly postive) comments by people who may have worked on the film. Personally, I think the film will be what it will be, and since I loved the previous prequels, I'd be more than happy if the quality level on the films released so far continues with Episode III.

In short: It'll rock.

Yeah. It's amazing that a SW site would be populated by people who like SW.

Pardon my ignorance, but what was this depressing report about, and from?

Oh, and ROTS is going to rule. :heavymetal:

If you want to discuss flaws of the PT feel free, just don't expect everyone to agree with you on all points.

Flaws of the PT:

1. Anakin was too young in TPM.
2. The Political aspects of the films does not make for exciting cinema.
3. Lucas uses repeating themes to mirror the OT. Sometimes they're too blatant and smack of lack of imagination.
4. I'm not a fan of Natalie Portman.
5. I wasn't a fan of Naboo. Too clean and pretty. I like SW to have a little grit.
6. Dooku didn't get enough screen time in AOTC.
7. I want more Sith backstory.
8. What the hell is "the prophecy" anyway?

Those are off the top of my head. Not everyone will agree, but even with my gripes on the whole I like the PT very much.

On the other hand, anyone who's still hung up on the SE change needs to get over it. It's been seven years since their release, ten years since Lucasfilm announced the last VHS release would be it for the unmodified OT.

However, if you look in the Classic Trilogy forum you'll notice that many people here have the OT boots. Some might even be able to help hook you up. Me, I like the SE's.

My bad. I'm used to posting at a SW message board where people like SW but recognize the flaws of the PT and hate the SE's.

Then do me a favor and go back where you came from.

If you'd have taken some time in order to study this board you'd know that there are a plenty of threads dedicated to the pro/contra PT and SE discussions.
So either you get the facts straight and stop talking out of your ass or go away.

Very good post by Ziggy BTW.

I think it will be the best one out of the PT's, possibly even the whole saga.
