GameInformer announced in their newest issue that the rights to the best movie of the 80's (besides Empire) has been bought for a new game by Sierra. If that wasn't cool enough, they have also signed most of the original cast to come back for voice acting: Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts and William Atherton. Even Better? Aykroyd and Ramis are righting the script for the game! If we can't get a Ghostbusters 3 this will have to be good enough! What you say?

Look it up at GameInformer

Maybe he meant to type in "Ray", as in Ray, Egon, and whoever Bill Murray and the Black guy were. I was always an Ackroyd fan myself.

Nah, I just felt like being a prick. :)

That game footage looks pretty slick, though.

Now there is a official website: Ghostbusters

Don't get me wrong. I loved Star Wars as a kid. But Ghostbusters was the first movie I really remember and loved. I was 4 years old when it came out and I knew I wanted to be Peter Venkman. I was always interested in the supernatural as a kid and that movie was the best for me. Still my all time favorite comedy.

"You're right, no human being would stack books like this."

On a somewhat separate but geekily related note, I got True Crime: NYC a couple years back and was really disappointed that they're gigantic GPS-accurate recreation of Manhattan didn't have the Ghostbusters firehouse. There was like a fuckin salon in place of that building. I thought if they combined that kind of environment with Ghostbusters, that could be a pretty friggin' awesome game.
