anyone running longhorn yet? how scary is it?

I'm a chicken so I just customized my desktop to make it look like it.

that's with a package that changed the visual style and the folders and file types + winamp glass skin (I have a longhorn one but doesnt look as good) + trillian pro 3.0 longhorn skin and longhorn interface + rainlender.

I'm pretty sure that windows isn't using docks yet, but I can't live without mine so longhorn objectdock as well.

I was beta testing Longhorn early last year, but quit after a while because it was just like XP. I'm sure they've added many new features since I had it, but to me it was basically like having a 3rd service pack on XP or something.

They gave out very early versions at a developers conference some guys I know went to.

EDIT: That picture in the first post definitely does NOT look anything like the version of longhorn I had...

Here are some pics of Longhorn from the WinHEC conference. This build looks almost identical to the one I was beta testing a year ago. Don't know if that is good or bad, but one big difference that I notice is that they removed the side bar that was in the version that I had. It was basically a taskbar that went up the right side of your comp and had a large clock on the side. It was kinda pointless, so I guess that's why the removed it. Anyway, at this stage Longhorn still looks like XP Service Pack 3 to me. Here are the pics, you can be the judge...

If you go to http://www.winsupersite.com/ (where I got these pics) the owner of the site has a review of this build. He mentions the big taskbar being deleted I believe. Note: the version I had was something like 4725 and these pics are of 5048.

Yep, hence the reason I'm moving to Apple when I buy my next computer.

Yeah, looks exactly like XP, except different folder settings. Waste of money.
