As I'm sure most of you are aware, there are charity screenings of Episode III in Seattle, LA, Washington DC, Chicago, Boston, Denver, Atlanta, San Francisco, Miami and New York.

It's tax deductible, the money goes to a good cause, and you get to see Episode III a week early (May 12th).

My wife and I are going to the one in Washington DC, and I know of one other person on the forums here who'll be at the same show. I'm not going to the pre-show party. General admission tickets were $250 each, VIP tickets which gets you into the pre-show reception are $500 each.

Anyone else going? I hear the after-party in New York is going to be extremely cool...

Edit: Added "Episode III" to the title.

I'll be there at the DC screening as well, with a friend of mine. Going to the pre-show party also. Carrie Fisher is supposed to be there, should be interesting.

Did you go to the events for the last 2 movies? They were OK, the Ep. 1 was the better of the two I think with the after party at the Tunisia Embassy, but they weren't at the Uptown. This should be the best screening of the 3.

I had planned to go to one of the REEL's charity screenings, but apparently they're not allowed to do them anymore.

Bumping this up to see if anyone else is going. We're just 8 days away now! Very exciting! Part of me wants to make like an MF.com button or something to wear that night since there'll be a few of us members there.

dkr, that's great!

Didn't someone say a while back that there would be some new, cooler merch at the cafepress store? Maybe i'll find a way to make myself something. For all those coming, i'll see ya at the DC screening!
