Yeah, WTF, "new Oasis album"? What are you, 16 years old or something?

Seriously dude, in about 5 years you're going to hate everything you ever listened to. You might as well start now.

I hope the new Weezer album is as good as Blue album and or Pinkerton. When Matt Sharp left Weezer, they lost a good amount of their fun side. Matt always brought a little bit to the songs and made them work. I ate pizza with Weezer when they first came back with Mikey. They talked about how they didn't know what their direction was going to be. About a year later, the Green album came out. It was pretty clear they still didn't know. Haha. Maladroit was a nice try, but after Green, it wasn't a solid redeemer.

Did you ever hear the solo album he wrote with the boys from Cake? It was called Homie. You can get the songs live here and there, it was better then anything Weezer is doing today.

I got my fingers crossed.

:( I'm 15½.

Anyways, yes, Oasis is such a subpar band as of '05, but I started listening 10 years ago and I haven't stopped, there's always a good Oasis song I won't get tired of....or a recycled Beatles tune.

And as for Weezer, I doubt I'll ever grow out of them--same fer Oasis, sadly--and I am so highly anticipating their latest, but I'm not expecting a Pinkerton, but possibly a Blue. Their new single, "Beverly Hills" is supposed to hit radios 22nd of March and it's been heard around town and they say it's got an "El Scorcho" type vibe.

And Star Wars III.

First Record was Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon (original version with poster and stickers, and yes I still have it and it's in perfect condition :heavymetal: )

First CD was The Cure Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me

yes... a stretch of genre's for sure, but I'm pretty much been into almost anything except most pop-music.

The first LP I remember owning was The Empire Stirkes Back soundtrack or maybe Dark Side of the Moon. I can't remember which was first but it was one of those.

First cassette tape was Metal Health by Quiet Riot

First CD was Slip by Quicksand (I got into CDs late in the game)

Also in May:

new Family Guy!
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy film (hoping its not a COMPLETELY sold-out p.o.s.)
end of shitty first year of college.

---

I listen to all kinds of music, with a few exceptions. I can't stand rap, most twangy country, and teeny bopper crap. I like classic rock, metal, euro-metal (Rhapsody etc), Jazz, and anything else really.

God i hate rap. It wouldnt be so bad if people wouldnt blast their bass so loud that your bowels release and your ears bleed.
