I dunno, half the time you don't know a person is a shit poster until they post shit. I don't think people should be locked out on the off chance that they might be dickheads. I don't really want to restrict membership if it can be avoided, half the point of mf is that anyone can come here from any other SW forum and if they try not to stir shit they can stay.

Obvious exceptions are made for well-known douchebags who will never be allowed to register but I'm comfortable with a small number of pre-emptive bans

I say give all the new users a chance. If they fuck up:

1. warn
2. temp ban
3. perm ban

If they get pissed, and make a thread about how MF is crap then straight to step 2.

Go directly to step 3 if their IP traces to Canada.

I understand that in the case of MF and in the case of the Ep. III forum, it's extremely important to read shit, because this is not TF.N...I guess all I'm saying is that you shouldn't be shocked.

Most of the new accounts I've seen registered lately haven't posted. Check out the membership list, pretty much every erson that's registered since November has fuck all posts.

It'd be easy enough to go through that list and delete every account with < 3 decent posts and IP ban the person who made them. But surely to God we're going to run out of ISP's before we run of idiot teenagers with spare time to kill on the introweb (no offence to any present ).
