somehow i downloaded somethign which changed the look of Xp to 98 which i cannot get rid of, whch i'm kinda pissed now... i want XP back

is that what you mean?

There's also some of the various programs that you can get from http://www.stardock.com that do similar things to what Style XP does (and a couple of programs that cover things Style XP doesn't).
