There really isn't that much to the Summer 2010 movie crop. Iron Man II looks like to be the "tent pole" movie of the season.

you don't update enough, DP. you need to get some editorials, a weekly blog going on here or something. a reason for us to come and comment on something. you let your few loyals provide the content for your site. there's not much motivation to come here to listen to the same few people make comments. a upload of a clone wars cartoon doesn't really seem like enough reason to keep this place going.

Actually I had planned (and still plan to) making a request thread containing a list of more topics for the Movie Spoilers forum. Though given whats on the horizon it's hard to get excited for a lot of the upcoming films.

I have and will take suggestions and criticisms in this thread. Although it should be noted that most of the complainants are not interested in the post-Revenge Of The Sith - "New Star Wars". With that said I will address some of the suggestions and complaints.

ETandElliot (like many others) for example seems to be only interested in the Original Trilogy and replaced his collection with old-school Vintage Toys. There is nothing wrong with that and MF.com should appeal to the Original Trilogy fans and non-Star Wars interests in general. So that is s something that needs to be worked on.

When it come to harsh treatment of new members - things were relaxed a bit due to this thread which resulted in new members first-posting about where da at or posting all sorts unverified links to the latest Clone Wars episode turning threads into a warezblog comment section.

In terms of a games forum as suggested by "Fantana" - I would not be opposed to one but there aren't a lot of games threads to move in there as of yet. The games threads that exist already are in the General Dis forum and OT/PT forums.

MF 3.0: MF 3.0 is my version of PHPBB3 with new versions of tacky heavy metal banners you have come to love. Last summer I had a new version of MF half-way complete. Unfortunately, it lost it in a hard drive crash and had little to no time to re-work it. The good news is that I managed to recreate what was lost and have this summer (and hopefully the following summers) off. So, getting MF happening again will now be a priority.

ps: There have been 200 threads posted since this multipage thread about no posting has been posted!

As DP already said, the coming season of movies isn't much to stir up conversation. I think one problem has been is that many of us either do not share or aren't aware of each others interests outside of Star Wars, so as the heat dies down on the PT so did the visits and posts. DP is not to blame, he posts stuff for us all the time and others do as well, like Topeka etc etc. If anyone else is a fan of anime or just wants to check some out I would be happy to post some.

I just see potential for this site. I remember how fucking jumpin this place was a few years ago. To pretend it's anything like it was is delusional. The question is what does DP want MF to be or become? Simply a star wars message board with a few outside interests showing up occasionally?

I've started threads plenty of times that should appeal to a large group but only gets about 5 responses and it dies a quick death.

I would love to make this my primary destination when I get online, I dig the idea of having an editorial or blog on the front page, maybe it would encourage people to continue in to the forum and sign up or become active again.

I still hit up the front page on a fairly regular basis.

My two cents? I really don't think the onus should be placed on DP to produce new content for MF anymore so than rest of us. Discounting any of psychotic's future plans, the site remains a message board and, as I've said before, when it comes to message boards I feel you get out of them what you put in.

I think we've got a fairly tight knit web community here and while I may not respond to every post I sure do enjoy reading.

I'm a bit of a lazy ass lately. I don't come here that much. I have shitty internet. And all the embebdded flash video (which I dig, in theory, please keep it up) eats up my commie download limits. That said, I'm gonna try to pay more attention to MF. I was flippin through the movie spoilers threads just now and wow, so much that I've missed. Btw Iron Man 2 looks like big ole Bertha breasts to me, I cant wait! But really, I'm just saying, thanks DP and MF posters in general for keeping this place alive. Maybe this place isn't as "attractive" to the new kinds of posters bearvomit wants to be chatting it up with instead of us, but with the Live Action series talk, and hopefully a decent and/or popular series out of that, well, I have hope for the future.

That being said, I doubt the feeding frenzy atmosphere will ever reach ROTS levels anytime soon. But I could be wrong. Maybe someone should spam msg all the SW related pages on facebook er something. We'll have soccer moms and thier untouchable teen daughters blabbin about thier fucking Farmville and other bullshitted whatnots here before too long, and tormenting them will be at least a diversion. Yes. Bandwidth limits. They make some vague explination of it that the signal capacity they can carry is limited and therefor pricier the more you use it. I am contracturally obligated to use only so much. Which sucks big veiny porno cock. But I didn't have much choice, it was that or dial-up out here in the boonies. And I ditched the land-line years ago in favor of the cell phone. Which works like shit out here in BFE as well. I've gotten use to it, though. It sucks, but do-able.

Speaking of which, good news. The gymnast who was on 'dancing with the stars' is now 18. Shawn Johnson actually turned 18 in January. Why wasn't this bigger news somewhere?
