As of this post MTV is broadcasting it's VMA 2007 show (consult your local listings) live and I missed Spear's the opening act. As you can see in the year 2007 the video has already been upped to a video flash-sharing site with the show not even over yet.

I did catch the end of Sarah Silverman bombing out on stage. The audience was going Michael Richards on her ass. The last shot of Silverman's face was laffo. This year the VMA's are comeing from a hotel hence the sparse audience.

Below is Sarah Silverman's performance. It wasn't exactly the bomb that I had expected but there was someone who heckled her with a "you're ugly" chant. The part of Silverman's performance that went flat was towards the end diarrhea segment. Not sure what was going on with last that look on Sarah's face before the camera panned away to the host Alicia Keys.

Britney was awful....she walked through her routine....didn't even try to remember the words to the song she was trying to lip sync and should no longer be allowed to wear lingerie on stage on a national TV station.

She was either reacting to whomever said "you're ugly" or to the floor director telling her to shuffle off.

I love Sarah Silverman. She's fucking brilliant, and while that bit wasn't her best, I love how it flew right over the heads of most of the talentless "musicans" at this bullshit awards ceremony.

Who at MTV is making sites take down these videos? Isn't this the most anyones talked about anything on that has-been network in years? What a bunch of ijuts.

I heard the metro pegwarmers at my new job today talking about how Brittany was 'such a cow' and obviously didn't have any talent left after seeing her on the awards show. And I chuckled. Because I think she looks fine, and needs to go ahead and start doing porn, as thats where her career seems headed. I'd pound one out to it.

As far as her talent, it seems to be on par with the rest of the music industry these days, what's the surprise? Pop music is geared toward people who couldn't recognize real talent if it raped thier mother, on video, and then they had to pick it out of a lineup, with screen caps. Or folks who couldn't tell the difference between turds and Tootsie-Rolls without sampling several of each and even then, only after asking thier friends what they thought about it too. That girl never had talent, she was just fuckable. Still is, unless you like them Concentration Camp lookin' ho's. Then maybe she looks like two of them, with half the backtalk. What's the problem there??

Didn't see Silverman, but she usually makes me giggle. I'd like to see somebody turn her schtik against her sometime, though. I wonder if she could take it. Not in the way she used to take it from Jimmy Kimmel, she has a bit too much of John Kerry face for me to see that.

It's sad when the winners of their own awards are telling the station that they need to play music again....

I really got into the Timbaland performance that closed out the show....though Nelly needs to go back to the dark hair, she looks like crap as a blonde.
