I was browsing Amazon the other day around the comics section and came across this:

Uncanny X-Men

Has anyone taken a look at this? Anyone know if it is worth it. I am very interested in reading the entire history of X-Men and am thinking about buying this but want to make sure it will be worth it. They also have other comic histories:

Amazing Spider-Man

The Avengers

That's pretty good. I've always liked X-Men, but never had the time/patience/money to go around looking for comics.

If I can remember, I'll see whether it's out there for torrenting. If so, I'll grab it.

Thanks, Dag.

I also found Fantastic Four and Hulk (Hey Troy!) over there.

I think that for once the Amazon critic reviews have actually been helpful to me in looking at a product. The only 2 criticisms that they have are the way the pages are presented (2pp with ads still in) which I believe is livable; and that it's problematic when it hits the big cross-over periods. For me since I have a portion of those cross-overs already and will end up getting all of them eventually in TPB, I believe it's not a bad pick-up for the price.

Of course it's a better pick-up if Dags can find it elsewhere. ;)

They're all available on torrents, but they're 5G each. It'll take time to download and then upload, but I'll get started this weekend with th X-Men.

Edit: I started last night but something went funny with my computer (it doesn't like running utorrent overnight), so it was rather slow and I only got something like 150Mb.

Do any admins want to move this thread to the cargo forum? I'd rather discuss the progress out of the public eye.

I have bought the Amazing Spider-Man Complete set from March 1963 to June 2006. It is pretty cool. If anyone wants me to upload it, I don't know how, but definitely could try. Let me know. Thanks.
