Regardless of who wins, I wonder what the Republicans are going to think about a Democrat wielding all the power they (the repubs) have usurped for the Executive branch in the past 7 years. I can't wait to see the looks on thier faces (CSPAN-yo') when the first big right-winger sponsored bill gets met with a Democrat prez's "signing-statement". I think people who pay attention to politics are going to be quite busy pointing out all the hypocrisy (allthough that's not really new, I guess).

As far as Mrs. Clinton is concerned, I dunno'. I don't like her or her old man. They are from the part of the Democratic party I usually refer to as "fucking communists" so I'm not excited about her winning. But after the past 6-7 years, I would be happy to see anyone in the white house who isn't an ape-faced fucking moron with an end-timer complex and a Johnny Walker habit.

I don't think she has a chance of winning. Too much past history, and she doesn't fit into the current political spin of 'bipartisan agreement.' And there's probably a hell of a lot of people in this country who still won't accept a woman to be our national leader.

If I had to choose between Obama and Hillary, I'd have to go with Obama. He at least has a dick. I don't trust women in high athority posistions. They have no place over a man.

While I might have agreed initially about going to Iraq, I think it's time to quickly remove ourselves from the situation. I'd be a lot happier if we'd just mind our own national business instead of spending BILLIONS on a people with the 3rd largest oil fields in the world. If they had a brain they'd be milking our SUV driving asses at $4/gallon gas instead of fighting each other over who's religion is the bestest.

If I was prez, here's what I'd do:

1. pull out of iraq by the end of the year.
2. Change the tax code to a flat 10% tax all around. everyone pays
3. send our troops to our border with Mexico, armed to the teeth and shoot any bastard that tries to walk across.
4. Anounce to the world they're own their own for the next 20 years and shut off all aid to every country we give it to.
5. quickly develop new fuel technologies and put the people to work with a goal of 2% unemployment
6. disband the teachers union and add a high degree of competition to the school systems. Fire bad teachers.
7. Increase pay to police by 25%
8. Take the aid we were sending to other countries and put it to use in our own communitites. Billions will go to housing, lower healthcare, education.
9. Privatise social security
10. learn to spell

I do live with my parents. I'm unable to live on my own right now. I've got a major medical problem (heart related) and not really able to get a job currently. I am on social security disability but I do pay parents rent, $300 a month.

Not sure about the tax code, I know it sounds good in theory but I don't know if it is possible to get by like that. I just don't know enough about how much we pay now and how that would effect current finances for country. I definitely think we need to sure up our boarders. Cutting off aid to the world however is short sighted and a very basic view of the global community. We can no longer tke the attitude that we are responsible only for our own citizens and the hell with everyone else. We feel everything here that goes on abroad, from the price of various commodities to contagious diseases.
You are dead on with new fuel technologies, however, you don't need to develop them. They exist and have for quite some time. Make it attractive enough for car manufacturers to use them and painful enough not to use them, ie. heavy taxes on crude powered vehicle manufacturers and especially on imports.
I don't see how the teachers union is responsible for anything. My wife is a teacher amd trust me, the problem is Parents. They don't give a shit about their childs education and don't want to be bothered with fostering it. Teachers like police need higher pay, good teachers will follow.
Social Security shouldn't be privatized, it should be locked down to keep lawmakers hands out of it to fund wars or anything else. It is for one thing and one thing only. That one thing being lazy inner city black's that don't want to work. (joke) Think of the people who have lost thousands with their 401k's when the market fluctuates, if that happened with SS people would be fucked. Way too risky, even if limited to blue chips it is a gamble, and to some that is their sole source of income after retirement.

it's not our job to take care of the world.
