fox8.com /actor-who-played-young-anakin-skywalker-in-star-wars-arrested-after-high-speed-chase/  A few silly Jake Lloyd threads in this subforum. Might as well continue the trend with this recent piece of news. Jake Lloyd was apparently arrested for reckless driving "after hitting speeds over 100 miles an hour before crashing into trees off Interstate 95."

According to tmz.com, Jake Lloyd is still "in custody".  From the mugshots, Lloyd looks pretty good. Much leaner and meaner than his last notable appearance: the infamous college interview (above). |

He apparently has been shafted at every point after TPM. Even Hayden Christensen robbed him of the Vader suit. Palpatine instead proclaimed him to be 'doped up redneck.'

Yes I was just about to post that tmz.com has updated their story with the actual mugshot. Initially Charleston area police released Lloyd's driver's license photo (seen above) then later released the mugshot (seen below):  Also E! Online has updated facts from the local popo: "On Wednesday afternoon, around 1:30 p.m., we received a call from the Charleston County office...we were told a car had crossed over county lines into our county, Colleton County," a police spokesperson told E! News. "The car was speeding and passed over double yellow lines. We were able to find the car that matched the description and the chase ensued." Lloyd was going "well over 100 miles per hour" and driving erratically, the spokesperson said. "We initiated blue lights and the car continued onward," he continued. "The car drove through the woods and wrecked out after having crashed through a small fence and a number of trees. He was apprehended at that time, about 2 p.m. The chase had been going on for about 20 minutes before his arrest." "He resisted arrest and once handcuffed, we had trouble getting information out of him," he said. "He told police his name was Jake Broadbent. He was quiet and didn't say a lot. He was alone." |

Jake's been behind bars since June for taking cops on a chase that exceeded speeds of 100 mph. The actor's mom, Lisa, tells us authorities reached the conclusion he needed help more than punishment, because he suffers from schizophrenia ... thus the move. Lisa says she spoke with Jake last week and can already see an improvement in Jake's personality. We're told there's no timetable for his release. His family wants him to take his time to get healthy.
