Roger Ebert recently retweeted an interview with author and critic Camille Paglia (her Wikipedia page) wherein she talks about Lucas and ROTS in particular:

I doubt she's going to be invited to the ranch anytime soon but I enjoy her insights. I think her comments may be among the first in mainstream criticism to re-evaluate George's work and contributions to the culture post-ROTS in a positive light. It'll be interesting to see if more of this stuff emerges the closer we get to Episode VII.

Too bad that she only speaks about Episode III. I wouldn't mind to see her opinion on TPM and AotC.

The last one truly outstanding and almost better than the movie itself.

I have a feeling she either didn't see them or maybe saw once and never revisited.
But then again, I've always suspected that ROTS can probably work as a standalone prequel.

I think you'll agree with his views on ROTJ

I think she comes off as a bit of a crackpot. I love ROTS. I might go as far to call it one of the most underrated blockbusters ever (knowing that it grossed over 380M domestically), but there are enough flaws both narratively and cinematically that hold this movie far short of the statement: "It is the best piece of art of the last 30 years."

True, that line smacks of stirring up the controversy.

I don't see a lot of flaws in ROTS (aside from occasional fan wishes such as improving Vader's Noo!). However, it has more impact if you watch it as part of the prequel trilogy (or, better yet, the entire saga).

She said the finale is the best piece of art. Not the whole movie (not that there is anything wrong with saying that).
