| I always thought they ran an underground sex cavern on the moons of Bogden. Seriously: I figured they'd be dignitaries for Alderaan or something - not the creation of Darth Vader and a simple Astromech. Your thoughts? | |

| I did not think Anakin constructed See-Threepio, nor that he originated from or had visited Tatooine prior to Star Wars. Even though there was a television series that delved somewhat into their backstory (which I never watched until recent years/generally ignored) I'd never really thought about where they came from. I always assumed he and Artoo had just been together since the beginning. Lucas diminished that magical aspect of their characters by having them meet in Episode I. | |

| I thought C-3PO was a well versed Senator's aide involved in high end politics. I just thought R2 was a astromech on a ship. I personally loved how R2 came into play in the sequels. Threepio, on the other hand, was a bit contrived. :S | |

| Artoo and Threepio meet in the NPR radio drama, if memory serves. | |
