What are your top musical moments from the PT? You know, those small scenes where the music and the moment work perfectly together? For me: 1) Qui-Gon cutting through the bridge doors on the Federation Cruiser (TPM) with the Force Theme playing. 2) Anakin and Obi-Wan flying over the Military Cruiser in the Coruscant Battle (RotS). 3) The meadow romp in AotC. ![]() |

Episode I - Qui-Gon's last meeting with the Council about training Anakin, up to the Force theme when they leave. Episode II - Obi-Wan's communication with Mace and Yoda about the clone army and their conversation afterward. Episode III - Padme leaving Coruscant for Mustafar up to when Anakin contacts Palpatine. Just eerie. |

1. Definetly agree about the force theme being used as Qui-Gon jabs through the door. Great moment and great introduction of the force theme into the saga. 2. The little piece of ominious music at the end of Qui-Gon's funeral as Palpatine is revealed (at least to us, the audience) to be Sidious. 3. The use of the Imperial March at the end of AOTC during the clone lift off 4. The use of Across the Stars as Padme and Anakin are taken into the arena was probably the best use of it in the film. 5. The force theme was used brilliantly in Episode III, so obviously the opening scene. But I'm also partial to its use as Obi-Wan leaves for Utapau 6. Whereas many non-theme cues in TPM and AOTC were simply background cues and nothing more, most of that type of music in ROTS actually has some of the best cues in the film. That little piece of music after Obi-Wan and Anakin say farewell is very nice, full of uncertainy. 7. The whole musical sequence from the beggining of Yoda VS Sidious to the end of their duel is great, IMO. *** On a side note, the worst musical section in the PT is the use of the Federation theme when Obi-Wan sees the clones in AOTC. Cringe every time. |

The honor of worst musical moment would have to go to Jango's decapitation in AOTC, at least for me. I'm convinced it's the dumbest moment in all of Star Wars. It seems to be three different tracks arranged retardedly into one. It starts out with (what I think is) some sped-up Duel of the Fates music from Episode I and goes into the most random drum roll of all time (I know you hear it after Dooku cuts off Anakin's arm later on), and then the music from when the Gungans activate the shield at the end of Episode I. It's absolutely horrible. |

Well, it's been beaten to death, but we can all agree the last 40 minutes of AOTC is, with the exception of a few bright spots, terribly scored. |

Oh yeah, I forgot the finale to AotC - top musical moment too. ![]() |

I can really only think of a couple for now... The music that plays when Yoda looses his grip from falling (you know where it shows his nails digging into the platform or whatever its) after he fights Palpatine. That piece is with Galaxies: Rage Of The Wookiees and it's a cool I guess underscore piece. Also the music that plays during the entire second half of the Vader and Obi-Wan duel from when they are fighting on the pipes to the bridge that plunges into the river of lava. That's one of the best moments that has a kick ass rendition of the Battle Of The Heroes theme. |

AOTC: The Ending, "Begun the Clone Wars Have." ROTS: Jedi enter the fray above Coruscant, Anakin's March On The Temple, Padme's Ruminations, Order 66, Obi-Wan appears on Mustafar You might get blasted with the Anakin's March on the Jedi Temple one...seems not to many here are fond of the idea of the AOTC Arena music being used in this scene. All though it doesn't bother me in the least bit. |

Not a fan of that either... The first part works, but the Imperial March should has really taken off here. |

TPM: Obi and Qui-gon on the federation ship, Anakin's podracer coming to life for the first time AOTC: The entrance to the arena and the wedding love themes. ROTS: The trumpet blasts when Mace kicks Palpatine's lightsaber away and backs him against the window, and Grievous arriving on Utapau. And on the arena march - I'm just glad it got used, albeit in the wrong spot. It was my favorite piece from AOTC and I was disapointed when only a little snippet was used in that film. |

I agree that it was used in the wrong spot, but considering that was the best piece on the entire AOTC soundtrack, I too am happy it was used at all. |

Not favorites, but really good ones are- Episode I- Anakin being tested by the Jedi Council. Jedi and Naboo forces retaking the hangar. Episode II- Jedi vs. Droids in Geonosis Arena (yes, mostly patched together from other cues, but I still like it). The Mystery music playing while Obi-Wan overhears Dooku and the Separatists. Episode III- Anakin weighing whether or not to return to Palpatine's office (Padme's Rumination in the background). The longass opening section of the space battle. The music works very well, with the Force theme sorta getting this military drum treatment, very cool. |

Order 66 was the best musical moment in all the films IMO. The music is so freaking tragic and when combined with the visuals...it makes me tear up every time. |

Yeah, I'd actually add in the theme when Padme is on Mustafar, when she is distraught in the cruiser before seeing Anakin come in, I thought that brilliantly captured the depth of that scene. |

I've thought of a few more. Episode I: "Rescuing The Queen", definitely good music here when the Bongo pops up from the water at Theed and Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan rescues the queen from the droids. "Escape From Naboo", I know it's been re-used in AOTC and ROTS but it's still a good track. The full original "Battle For Naboo"...well as close as anyone can come to the original. Episode II: The seperatist theme...pretty dark for the pieces it features in. "Arrival At Kamino" a good fanfare statement when Obi-Wan arrives at Kamino then goes into the dark eerie statement of the seperatists theme. "Yoda And The Younglings", I love this cue a lot especially when the choir comes into play and the short brief statement of Yoda's theme. Episode III: "The Elevator Scene" This music is simply awesome, I wished they hadn't cut 90% of the cue from the film. I blame Ben Burtt for that one. I did a little synching up for this and the movie and it made those scenes on the Invisble Hand go a lot quicker. "Grievous And The Droids" again this cue was supposed to start when R2 came rushing out of the turbolift to get away from the destroyer droids and to the confrontation on the bridge of the Invisible Hand. Most of it was cut and tracked into "Dueling With Grievous". A shame such a good track too. "Good-bye Old Friend" an awesome cue which features a militaryish style version of the force theme when Obi-Wan is talking to Commander Cody before departing for Utapau then goes into a full blaring statement of the force theme as Obi-Wan's ship leaves the Star Destroyer and jumps into Hyperspace. "Going To Utapau" this another great cue that features a great rendition of the force theme as Obi-Wan arrives on Utapau then some I guess 'conflict' music when Obi-Wan talks to Tion Meddon (who played the Trainman in Matrix Revolutions btw) |

No one mentioned this cue... "I Am The Senate", grant it's only available through Galaxies: Trials Of Obi-Wan...well 90% of it anyways. It's still a kick ass cue even the film version kicks butt. |

Aye. Phantom Menace is easily my favorite PT score. Also got to add "Hail to the Winner, Anakin Skywalker" and "Anakin is Free." |

One of my favourite musical cues of any score in the saga is the very end of TPM's credits as Anakin's theme twists into the Imperial March. A dark forshadowing of the future. I wish that cue was used during the film at any point. TPM was, to me, the best complete score of the PT. Probably the best aspect of the entire film, and it's sad that it was butchered in the editing room. |

I wish that cue was used during the film at any point. TPM was, to me, the best complete score of the PT. Probably the best aspect of the entire film, and it's sad that it was butchered in the editing room. It was. If you listen to the Ultimate Edition during Obi-Wan's little interview with Yoda, you can hear a little segment of the March about the time Yoda says "grave danger I fear in his training". TPM- I thought the music worked brilliantly starting with Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon firing up their lightsabers after the Republic ship was blown up in the Federation hangar and they start destroying battle droids and everything. Everything worked great and really helped show how big a joke whacking battle droids was to Jedi. AOTC- I seem to be the only fan of the Sound of Music scene, but I thought the music and the visuals worked great together there. ROTS- Obi-Wan questioning Padme about Anakin's whereabouts and revealing the truth about Palpatine and confessing he knows about her pregnancy is just great. The first time you watch it, you think "they're *FINALLY* talking about it" and it's just a highly enjoyable scene. Great music, great acting, just great. |

Ya but it's too bad the way how most of it was edited from the OST. I can't wait to hear that piece in it's full intregidy(sp?) some day. |

Sony...It can benefit you Now! ![]() I can't really think of some real good ones right now... Attack of the Clones: I love On the Conveyor Belt, despite the film's edit. The Phantom Menace: Droid Invasion and the Destruction of the Trade Federation battleship Revenge of the Sith: Going to Utapau, Droids, and Grievous Arrives on Utapau are all great. |

Episode I: I always liked the swell of music when Anakin gets his podracer up and revving with Qui-Gon watching. "It's working. It's working!" Episode II: The love theme as Anakin and Padme are rolled out into the arena. It all just seems so odd, exotic and romantic as the camera tracks down the aisle of these strange Geonosian creatures. Episode III: Right after Obi-Wan rules Anakin and the Immolation begins. |

Epiisode 1: I loved the beginning of the duel when Maul was standing the other opening doorway. Episode 2: The ending during the wedding scene. Episode 3: Too many to pick a favourite. Probably go with the opening scene as well with order 66 |
